I began my driving lessons with Russell Wheeler at the back end of 2023, at that point I’d only had very limited experience practicing in friends cars and that was years ago. He took me from a nervous wreck of a driver who could barely work a clutch to being a competent confident driver who now has no issues with the clutch. I passed earlier this month after over a year of lessons that were interrupted by family bereavements and other personal issues and Russell was patient and compassionate throughout. I cannot recommend him enough, an amazing instructor 10/10!

Thank you to Simon the driving instructor and Donna at the BDS office. I required a full driving licence before the start of Feb 2025. So Began looking for the earliest test dates available in the UK after passing the theory test in November 2024. Blackpool was the earliest avaliable driving test centre at the time of searching, between 20th and 31st January 2025. So I inquired at BDS for a fast pass 40 hr intensive course, and Donna was able to arrange an assessment the following week with Simon the driving instructor. After shuffling the calander about, Donna was able to fit me in the busy schedule a week before the driving test on the 31st January. The booking was delt with smoothly by Donna and communication regarding any changes and requirements was clear and precise. Simon provided an excellent driving experience and was able to share the knowledge and skills required to pass the driving test within the well organised 40 hrs, 1 week intensive timetable. I enjoyed the journey, thank you.

Paul is an amazing teacher. Had the best driving lessons with him. Super cheap compared to other teachers. Super encouraging and great to talk to. Lessons flew by like nothing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a driving instructor that will get you that pass and you’ll have fun along the way!

An amazing driving school. Well organised and supportive. They take away all the extra stress that comes with learning how to drive. Dave Topley is an amazing, patient instructor and has helped me not only pass but enjoy driving.

Dave Thorpe is a professional, technical and expert driving instructor. His instructions are still ringing in my ears and I hope to always follow them. His confidence in me made me confident in myself and perform well in the test. Off the road, I cannot thank him enough for his patience in answering my zillion Whatsapp messages asking for clarification on this and that related to driving. I could not recommend him enough. Thank you very much for making me appreciate the importance of being a safe driver and making me a safe driver.

Couldn't recommend Dave my instructor enough, his encouragement, patience and all round teaching environment was fantastic. Great instructor became more my therapist haha, I'll miss our lessons but thank you. First time pass, he believed in me when I didn't believe in myself.

Came from another company that dropped me. Steven was brilliant, I had already done about 50 plus hours when joining BDS but was not comfortable with driving. Steven helped build my confidence and to stop doubting myself. Going to miss our Monday lesson but I PASSED! So thankyou, already planning with my daughter where we're going to drive too.

I had Paul as my driving instructor and he was absolutely amazing. He helped me with sorting out a new driving test date after my original one was cancelled so I only had to wait a couple of weeks and passed first time. Couldn’t recommend enough !!

I had Liz as my driving instructor, she was very patient with me and all my faults during but we got them straightend out and I managed to pass my test!
