We found our experience to be very swift and professional, from initial contact through to getting our home onto the market and sold within a very short period of time. Throughout our house buying and selling process our solicitor Natalie and Ashleigh were very professional, polite and very helpful. They communicated very well either by phone or email. Really poor experience. Pre sale Valuation. Prior to visit excellent - immediate service. After visit - no feedback and no valuation. Covid excuses. Telephone call from director to apologise and confirmation that valuation would be provided. Days later - no valuation. Cannot recommend.

After dealing with four other known solicitor firms in the space of 4 months and experienced service that ranged from disappointing to downright incompetence, I was ready for more of the same. Then, McEwan Fraser asked Cara Seivwright to attend to my remortgage and a declaration of trust (no other solicitors I tried were aware of these trusts) and she quickly restored my faith. Extremely professional and expeditious service provided with excellent guidance from start to finish. Night and day compared to previous firms. Similar fees to the less competent, so it's not a case of you get what you pay for. McEwan Fraser will be first choice in future, and hopefully Cara again.

I recently used the services of McEwan Fraser, both to sell my property and to carry out the legal process attached. Though in some ways a little more expensive than some rivals, their quality of service was first rate and they made a potentially difficult time a good deal less stressful. I am particularly grateful to Ben, Lewis and Magnus, who all gave me excellent advice in their area of expertise. Each stage was explained fully and my questions answered. The valuation, market appraisal, home valuation report and photography were all excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this firm.

Very disappointed in the service from a company like this. I had a lady come out to give me a valuation on a property in Peebles. She never got back to me with the valuation despite chasing up twice. Called more recently about a property advertised online which I really liked and had missed out on previously but it was back on the market. I was told the property was now under offer again. The property was still displayed as being for sale for at least a week on Rightmove and Zoopla. I called again to be told it’s definitely under offer but was still several days before this was even processed. Waste of peoples time and gets their hopes up. I would not deal with this people.

Absolutely horrific experience with this company. Had a major dispute with regards to viewings which was never resolved, not going to go into detail. I was quoted £6407.90 for selling a flat at £75000 that was for fixed fees, surveyors and all other costs which was massively more expensive than my other quotes. I sold a property for £70000 and it cost me around £2000 in sale and other fixed costs. I absolutely do not recommend this company one little bit.
