The process took 3 months due to issues with the lender and the seller’s representatives, but the MFL legal team’s patience, professionalism and attention to detail was brilliant. I was recommended to use McEwan Fraser Legal by a friend for the purchase of a property. This was the first time I bought a property in Scotland. My first encounter was with Ken who gave a good layout of property purchase process. I was then allocated Adeeb and Barbara who handled the actual conveyancing. They were diligent in their work and very prompt to answer any questions I might have. Overall I feel I had a good service provided by the team.

The legal team in McEwan Fraser were great in the sale of our property and the purchase of our new property in tandem .. a bit more communication would have been great as this is a stressful pairing of activities to deal with on their own but together it is a lot... I felt like I was hounding a little but even a "no response received" or "we have asked for x,y or z" would be good to update buyer/sellers. If I look at the estate agency property marketing side of things I would say that needs work, communications again an issue, I felt I was chasing responses plus the marketing side of things did not garner the attention our property should have.... My thinking is the they home report valuation was overpriced for our property and Shepard's who did the valuation had a bit too much control over that... It meant we looked greedy and when McEwan Fraser finally agreed to let us drop the price and then go fixed price we looked desperate when we advised the valuer of why ours should have been valued at less...... Which also meant perfect properties were getting sold where we wanted to be and we were missing out. This would have been 3.5 stars if I could and I will leave a similar review if I can for Shepards

I live in New Zealand, so it was important for me to have a professional company representing my best interests throughout the sales process. Marketing was effective, and when offers were presented I knew I could always rely on the Legal team to get the sale completed.

This is the second time I've used McEwan Fraser Legal to purchase a property. Each time at every stage I've been supported, reassured and given thorough information. This purchase was more complicated than the last. The starting point of discussing potential properties with Marzena and then Andrew Clark was a pleasure. They gave me advice on what to look out for at each property, contacted the seller on my behalf and on this successful purchase Andrew was able to suggest a challenging bid initially which was successful, saving me money! My journey continued with Barbara Sitko who was brilliant at explaining how everything would progress, the detail she needed from me etc. She stayed in touch every step of the way, listened to my concerns and gave answers and sought answers on my behalf where necessary. The Solicitor Adeeb Mostafa was excellent, he talked me through all legal comments in the contract, negotiated additional clarifications for me, kept me updated with answers. On completion of the sale there were a couple of issues with the former owner. Barbara and Adeeb continued to support me to resolve these issues resulting in me receiving a sum from the former owner. This additional support was thorough and from my point of view unexpected. Throughout the experience I felt that I was in knowledgeable safe hands and I would not hesitate to recommend this team and as such McEwan Fraser Legal.

I purchased a residential property earlier this month in Glasgow. Natalie and Ashleigh from MFL were dealing with the transaction. They kept me well updated on the progress of the deal. When I had any questions, they were more than happy to answer them. I can tell they are very passionate about their work and genuinely want their clients to get the best deal. I would recommend this estate agent. They are personable, responsive and have a good set up with opening times and the rest of their approach. My personal experience was stressful due to the buyer delaying for a few weeks, Barbara and Adeeb returned my calls of panic promptly and followed up with the buyers solicitor. Earlier in the process Ken gave good set up advice, he reassured me that he would be available throughout the process and was true to his word when I reached out for support. Our solicitor Adeeb Mostafa and Legal Assistant Ayesha Khurshid were beyond amazing! If we were ever to move again, we would always use McEwan Fraser Legal to buy and sell. They made the process as smooth as possible and guided us along the way. This was a completely different experience from when I bought my last house. Very good advice from Mike in the first instance. Very high quality photos Systems are very good and although slightly showy work very well and are helpful. Ashley in legal did a first class job.
