Cara Seivwright from Aberdeen was fantastic . I recently remortgaged and throughout the process Cara was just first class . It was a lengthy process as there were a few hiccups along the way (though no fault of MFL ) but Cara was there with me every step of the way taking her time to explain every thing in great detail so that I understood everything. Natalie Allen- Natalie has worked quickly and effectively during my house sale (2 Edington Mill Cottages). She has offered excellent guidance through the process and has had to put up with my impatience, handling it professionally and courteously at all times!! I asked to view a house for sale in Alloa, Scotland via digital means (Whatsapp video or Microsoft Zoom) and sent this request via email. It was TOTALLY ignored, so I complained. Someone from the company, a young woman by the sound of her, called me weeks later and said they had been overwhelmed by the demand since the market reopened, and that I should have phoned in my request! So staff at MFL don't know how to read emails or respond to them, then? Phoning a company consumes more time than sending in an email. I suspect that MFL's staff are technophobes which is the real reason for failing to follow up, or otherwise it is down to their incompetence. Beware vendors that this company is not enabling potential viewers to view your property, resulting in restricted access and a reduced chance of selling at the right price. I followed up with a formal complaint and this was unfortunately rejected by the company on the basis, and I quote, that: "As our duty of care lies with our client and not that of any third party......we have no further case to answer in this regard", signed by your Client Relationship Manager. Lies were also told however, as MFL claimed wrongly that the vendor had instructed it not to arrange any further viewings and that they were not open to any further offers. However, my request to view was made as soon as the property went on to the market, well before the property had come under offer. MFL is disreputable and dishonest in attempting to shift the blame from their own incompetence onto their vendor client, displacing the true nature of my complaint which is that my initial request to view was totally ignored.

I used McEwan Fraser to help sell my property. I was a little disappointed with the initial service when selling the property and going through the viewings stage - they seemed a little disorganised and I did question several times what services I was paying for - they were very quick within the first two weeks to ask me to pay for additional marketing - at this point I declined as I felt they had not done enough without! I spoke with one person who agreed the same etc and had no further communication with - yet he got I believe he got commission - feels like I paid for his time and he did nothing their organisation of appointments left a lot to be desired as I had a lot of no shows - perhaps SMS updates to viewers as a reminder rather than email?! However, my house sold quickly and over asking so somethjng worked! The legal side managed be Natalie and her team was top notch - I was kept well informed, things progressed quickly and you felt it had a more personal touch. Once the file was with the legal team it compensated for the other elements that were lacking
