I requested replacements for some faulty bulbs I purchased from Lightrabbit. In response I was sent bulbs that were previously used that were covered in scratches. I informed the company about this and their response led me to believe this was acceptable company policy. This is not what I understood when reading their website. I asked for new bulbs as replacements and they said they would send some. I received the replacements today and was disappointed to discover..........more scratched up bulbs but also covered in paint. I recognised that the bulbs were from old discontinued stock and not the new upgraded bulbs that they currently sell. This type of service shows contempt for the customer and highlights a replacement policy far from what they claim it to be.

I switched to LED lamps in 2014-15 and, to avoid changing fittings, bought corn bulbs from Light Rabbit, which have a claimed life of 50,000 hours and an advertised guarantee of 5 years. I have waited until now to review once I can advise how they last or, more likely, don't. They gave a good light and I got the warm white, so it did not feel too harsh and was similar to incandescent in tone. The light was much better and brighter than the compact fluorescent lamps replaced. The individual LEDs give very compact light which will hurt the eyes unless covered by a shade or diffuser, which mine were. Some were hanging in pendants, some standing in wall-mounted fanlights, in both cases open to the air. One was faulty in less than 10 hours and was replaced immediately without quibble. Others have been used solidly for hours a day for two and a half years. After use, they were too hot to touch, despite not being fully enclosed. After about eighteen months, the lamps started making a clicking sound and, if you took them out, they rattled a bit and the light grey plastic was going brown. After another year, the most used lamps (both hanging and standing) started cutting out briefly for a few seconds when hot then coming back on. I checked and they seemed OK. But then the one in the kitchen went off with a bang like a firework! I isolated the supply, removed it with heavy duty gloves and smashed it open to check in case of fire, luckily there was none but one of the electronic components had just exploded. I can confirm they do have an isolation transformer for safety, unlike dangerous corn bulbs from China. Just after that, the second lamp started going out briefly, so I took that out immediately. The third was clicking badly so was just reaching that stage when removed (but had not actually failed yet). So, in summary, the lamp life is about 5,000 hours NOT the 50,000 hours claimed. The manufacturer might claim that life for the LEDs, but the electronics in the Light Rabbit bulbs is failing consistently after about 5,000 hours so the LED life is irrelevant. The problem is that the heat-sinking, which feels like flimsy aluminium, is thoroughly inadequate and the lamps get far too hot in constant use even if not enclosed, which burns out the electronics. Now comes the rub. All the pages of the website claim a guarantee of 5 years, with no caveat and no link to any notes. But, apparently, you had to scroll to the bottom of the page, click the link for more information, go hunting for the terms of the guarantee and, unless you had done all this and found out you had to specially register the lamps when you bought them (having the receipt or the order still on their system isn't stated as sufficient), the small print says NO 5 YEAR GUARANTEE! At best this does not meet advertising regulations, at worst it might have been a con [see update below]. As I need something that will last, I have replaced the most used lamps with dedicated mounted LED fittings from a major manufacturer where the LEDs are attached to a large solid metal plate as a heatsink. I still have Light Rabbit LED corn bulbs in less used fittings that only get a few minutes or at most an hour's use a day and am happy with them as they should last for years there (and I have bought some more). So, that is my experience over a period of years and I hope it is useful to you. Update: To be fair to Light Rabbit, they have agreed to replace the failed lamps, even though the small print conditions were not met, and to look at their website to make the conditions clearer. I have always found their service excellent, the product is middling (and priced accordingly so no issue) and it is that that has driven my rating. So long as you know the product limitations, I am happy to recommend the company (and still use them).

I had occassion to contact Light Rabbit via the chat window on their website and they were prompt and perfect with how they dealt with my issue. I'm continually impressed with the level of service they provide during any contact I've had with them.

I've been thinking of changing to LED panels in my shop for some time. I am currently using 1200 x 600 light fittings with 4 x 1200mm fluorescent bulbs. I ordered a Cool White panel which fitted directly into the false ceiling and gave off a much brighter light than the old Fluorescent lamps. It made the fluorescent look positively yellow. I then ordered another three panels which arrived within two days. I fitted these, and my wife who runs the shop was very pleased. with the quality of the light. Unfortunately, one of the transformers failed, so I e-mailed customer services, and recieved replacements within 3 days, excellent customer service, thank you Pawel, great service. I have ordered more panels and am looking forward to the energy bill savings.

I purchased two LED Surface Mounted lights from LightRabbit about 18 months ago. They really competitively priced and came quickly. At 18W each, they are very bright and have served us very, well pumping out 1390 Lumens reliably in our kitchen for the past 18 months. Today I noticed one of them was very dim and flickered, so I took it down and inspected it. After removing the top plate it became very obvious that the one of the cells in the LED strip inside the unit had blown, as it was dark brown and stained, unlike the other bright yellow cells. I looked for my original email receipt, got the reference for the lighting unit and went on their website to see if I could source another one exactly the same. Upon reading the spec I was reminded of their 5 YEAR no quibble guarantee, so pinged one of their staff (Powell) and explained my predicament by typing in the little window at the bottom of the page. Very quickly and very easily after offering my order number name and postcode, Powell was already confirming that a replacement unit was on its way to me! I could not believe it! 10 minutes into it and Vuala`, problem sorted! Unbelievable! NOW THAT IS GOOD AFTER-SALE SERVICE! Great company, I would recommend them to everyone. Life's difficult enough, so its always refreshing when someone makes it just that little bit easier! Thanks Powel your a star!

All the stuff I had is very good quality. Anyone can have a faulty device sometimes. I had an GU10 COB LED unit fail after two months, a replacement was sent out same day, after a brief chat. No quibbling, no hassle.

On the 15th March 16 i placed an order with this company, 2-5 days delivery, i was leaving the country in 10 days and needed to take them with me they did not arrive, i was told there was no order, but they took the money. I cancelled the order and asked for a refund. 1 month later no refund, but we are delivering them now. No good don't need them now and not in the country. E-mail after e-mail nothing. Now i am going through pay pal and my credit card company and considering small claims. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I ordered a whole bunch of electrical LED lighting goods for my kitchen. As I wasn't sure of the configuration at the time of ordering I included multiple transformers, connectors etc. Obviously I had a bunch of stuff left over and the guys at Light Rabbit refunded me for everything returned. I also needed some advice and they were more than happy to help. Thanks Light Rabbit. :)

Ordered 4 bulbs 5th April. They were the wrong fitting so returned to the address supplied with instructions enclosed for exchange. Many emails later, on 30th ApriI receive just 2 bulbs! But again with wrong fitting. LIght Rabbits response send them back again (my postage and my time) before we can issue refund. Its now 3rd May, no bulbs and £30 odd pound for nothing. My worst online purchase experience ever. Echoes many of the above. Never again.

Gradually changing the CFL bulbs in our house (with some resistance!) - products are lower cost than others and only one has failed so far (about 18 months old). I contacted LR about the one that failed and they have despatched a replacement same day so excellent service! I will continue to use LR for new items.

Used LR at lot to change all the bulbs in our new house - bulbs aren't well known brands but are much much cheaper and only one has failed so far (out of about 20 various bulbs). The one that failed I emailed LR about yesterday and they replied and dispatched a replacement same day so excellent service!

Products very poor quality, much less bright than you'd expect from the specification... Very very slow returns and refund process. Customer Services don't care. They only have a single person who can process refunds, so you better hope they are not 'out' when you need a refund, otherwise like me you'll be waiting a long time for your money back. Oh, and they also have a habit of with-holding a little of the refund that is due.... happened to me on my first order, as well as to another customer based on feedback I've read. We both had to email asking why they held some monies back before they refunded in full. Also, the CEO seems to think it's OK to put up fake reviews pretending to be a satisfied customer. I wonder why he feels required to do that? AVOID.

my biggest gripe with these guys is that they list a .ie website and phone number, but ship goods from UK and thus returns must be to UK. have placed 3 orders now. First one I got wrong, sent it back and they said they never got it / couldn't find it . because i didnt have my tracking receipt I had no claim. last order was for light bars which i installed in the wardrobes beside my bed. they are meant to be sensor activated, but they stay on about 80% of the time with no movement (unless i have ghosts in my wardrobe) cant be bothered paying to ship these back to the UK. will never purchase here again!

I am not a business and therefore needed much information and advice about the products to be purchased. Customer support at LightRabbit was superb, providing accurate product info and advice with great patience! The website was user friendly and accurate. Once I had placed my order I realised that I had been unable to use a discount code. I contacted 'customer support' and spoke with Pawel Gajek who immediately rectified the problem. Later I realised that I had made an error in one of the items ordered, I had ordered Non-dimmable and needed the dimmable version. Once again, without any hesitation Pawel rectified my order. I am just so grateful for the efficiency and care that this company provides and delighted with the quality and value for money, of the products supplied. Thank you

Rip off company Send out faulty goods tell you returned goods never arrive even though the courier company states that the goods were delivered to the correct address and supplied copy of signature, LightRabbit deny anyone of the name at the company. Told to send faulty goods to Jersey, decided not to due to Royal Mail cost, sent return back to London address given in email by Collect+ couriers. Sent recorded delivery letter to Jersey address to claim refund, letter returned to me as being refused at address. Have sent another letter to London address, if no reply then it will be court proceedings to get my money back. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS CON COMPANY.
