We were refinancing for the second time through American Financing and worked through John Hazel this time. He was very professional and always let us know where we were in the process and he answered all of our questions-promptly! We would definitely use American Financing and ask for John Hazel again!

Incompetent Employees, Cheap Business, and Unprofessional as it gets. Not even Peyton Manning can save them and highly doubt they will last. Our experience was actually identical to another's on here. The agent didn't call us back for a month! We had to chase him down. So unprofessional.

If I could give this company a negative 100 I would. They strung me along with excuse after excuse for 4 months! My husband and I have 783 and 758 credit scores. Our home is worth more than double what we want to refi for (its only 2.5yr old) and we gave them every bit of info they asked for. Problem - they just kept asking for more and more and I am in the business so I know much of this wasn't required/needed. We are self employed and have owned plenty of real estate, we are stable in our careers and where we live. They are just totally incompetent.

Worst experience I’ve had with a mortgage refinance company in 25 years of home ownership. First off I was told my old would close in 4 weeks towards the end of February, to this day , May 5th, I’ve not received notification of a close date. Some clueless rep calls me weekly and leaves a voicemail stating they are working on my lon but nothing is needed from me as all the requested/required info was provided within a week of starting this process, the loan amount changed a couple times early on with no notice. I called in a few times to request Information as to when my close date would be, the clueless loan agent said she didn’t know and was allegedly escalating, they called back 3 days later and still had no idea. I refinanced with a different company and the whole process was done In 3 weeks. American financing completely sucked and I would not recommend to anyone ever!

Tim Allred with American Financing is the BEST! He makes the refi process so easy, keeps you up to date and makes it an enjoyable process. I highly recommend Tim! And I have recommended him to my friends, who also think he is great.

had to give 1, can't give zero. Worst company I’ve had the displeasure to work with! We started the process in mid November 2020. We watched 4 friends begin and close long after we started, using smaller companies. As of April 21, still nothing. We were told we were set to close at the end of March. And then...We heard nothing. We called and left messages and emails to our loan officer (no name .. initials MK). We still heard Nothing. We needed to know a date as we needed to arrange it so we could leave town on vacation. The loan officer never answered or attempted to contact us. Then, our rate lock expired. I called the on line number ...left a message. I sent emails through the On line link... asking to be called by a manager. Again.. nothing. Finally, a few weeks later...I got a call from the only person who actually seemed to care. She took my information and said the manager would call within a day. A week later she called to verify I’d been called... nope. She put “call immediately” on my file and said I’d be called that day. 3 days later... still nothing. Then... out of nowhere, MK, our long lost agent called... she started as if nothing was wrong. She acted cheerful and happy to say we were getting close to closing! Of course... by now we had already given up and moved on. Within just 3 weeks with our new company, we already have a closing date. And, the fees are almost $5000 less!!! Yes, a higher rate! But I’d gladly pay for the service we now receive. AF has cost us money and I wouldn’t give them a dime.. to them... we are simply a piece of paper. Had I gone with this new company... I would have been locked in at 2.5%, the $5000 lower fees and saving money! AF is horrible. MK continued to tell me we could still close... our rate was renewed and locked. I said no thank you... so she was going to have a manager call. She made excuse after excuse. There were no processors, management was overwhelmed, and then, she was new to mortgage financing and didn’t know who to contact. At one point she tried to elude to it being our fault because some files were pdf and some were images. (Which they told us to send!) No explanation as to why she’s ignored us for a month. She kept wanting us to move forward and close. She finally admitted knowing I’d called and had already made my decision to use a different company. She guaranteed a manager would call and confirm we were ready to close. He did... BP, regional sales manager. He called and listened and could care less. No apology or acknowledgment that it was poor service (even when I asked if he would call this appropriate service). He just said he could push the closing. We were still just a piece of paper. I repeated to him I wasn’t interested in doing business with AF! “So you want me to close this”? I guess saying it over and over again finally got through. I recommend asking around. You’ll have friends using other companies. Find a quality company... contact me... I will gladly give you our guys name and number. He not only took care of us, but took the time to educate us on the process. Explained all the options. Even things we never thought of. Apparently within the refinance industry... AF has a horrible reputation. I guarantee if you shop around, you will find equal or lower rates and FAR smaller fees! And, I bet they treat you like a human being... not simply a source of revenue. This is actually very brief! Only about a quarter of all the ridiculous things they did and how they kept pushing us off! USE ANYONE ELSE. If this review takes comments... I’ll gladly contact you to discuss. They don’t deserve even 1 star! I actually let their marketing use of Payton Manning influence me to contact them because I have a great respect for that family. If he knew how they treat people, I’d hope he’d drop them. I hope not everyone in this organization has such a lack or responsibility, accountability and respect. They simply could care less about you!

Took over 4 months to complete a refinance. Was never updated on the progress of the process except for a weekly call from an assistant stating that "we are working hard on getting your loan processed". The longer wait time was "due to covid" and "lower than average interest rates" yet I had 3 acquaintances who refinanced after I began mine, all with other companies, who were able to close within 45 to 50 days. long before I closed. Would not recommend using this company for refinancing. I had a horrible experience. I also requested to have my home appraised and I was told that it would cost 3-4 times the average appraisal cost for my area. I do not recommend this company. If you do decide to go with them, if you have any doubt about the way you are being treated or the lack of information you are being provided, ask for a new agent or cancel the process and go with a different company.

Five stars might have been in the past currently you don't deserve half a star. Liars liars liars. That's all they are gives you hope, and they turn around and stab you in the back and say, oh no you need come up with whole bunch of things that they promised you that you don't need. I will never trust this company. Such a dishonest fake commercials wonder who did they bribe at better business bureau to get the a+
