The refinancing process was completed without complication and with good speed. (I expect things would have moved alone even faster w/o COVID-19.) Electronic and phone communications were clear and easy to follow. Closing was completed without any unanswered questions.

Keeping in mind we chose to refinance in the midst of a Pandemic. This was our 4th time with American Financing and the agent they assigned us to was very slow to follow up and difficult to get in touch with. I finally requested a different one who wasn't that much better. The processor and the notary were great. I'll probably still use them again, but this time was not great.

This is my second transaction with American Financing. The reason I came back, was because of the excellent service I got from them. Suzanne was my finance officer. She was absolutely great !! Always punctual, and always ready to help. I’ve written emails to her in what would be a late evening for her, as well as on Sunday’s. It didn’t matter what time of day I sent the email. I always figured she would answer the next business day, But it was always within a few minutes. I thought that kind of service was long gone. But she always delivered that kind of service. If I ever have another real estate transaction, I’ll definitely call Suzanne. She is the BEST !!!

It took about a week longer than we wanted it to take, but the timeline was up in the air with the pandemic, and we all made the best of it. A great experience and great service!

Joseph Podwica at American Financing was awesome. He was my second opinion while looking to refinance and he got us 1/2 a point lower on our interest rate than Quicken Loans. He kept us up-to-date throughout the loan and doing paperwork was very easy, just needed to take pictures with my phone and email them. We saved over $300/mo with Joseph and American.

We submitted everything that was asked of us in a timely manner, however, our processor asked us many things within 5 days of closing. We were the ones that had to call for updates and ask what was missing. This made things very stressful and rushed. Once we got a new processor everything was more inline and communication was better. Otherwise, our loan consultant and our real estate agent were the best and most helpful people ever. This would have been a 5 star review, if not for the processor.

Vincent Pacheco was a pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgeable about his work and was quick to respond to my emails and voicemails. Vincent worked hard to meet my needs and made the process go as smooth as he could. I would recommend him to family or friends who may need his services. A HUGE THUMBS UP for Vincent!!!

I did not enjoy my experience with American Financing. My agent Colleen Hall made me feel insignificant as she told me on numerous occasions she didn’t have the time to discuss things with me because she had other folks to help. Finally, after speaking to her manager I was able to get explanations and he took his time with me. In the end I can’t really recommend these folks based on their poor customer service. Plenty of providers out there so I would consider looking around.
