United States | 14 March 20242nd go with DB Zeitview: Same as before - too many points of contact, the points of contact seem unfamiliar with what drone flying actually is, the points of contact lack reading compression or proper English skills to understand/communicate effectively to solve seemingly simple problems.

United States | 29 August 2023Absolutely useless. I signed up with Dronebase over a year ago. Every time that I get a notification that a mission is available, the mission is already taken before I can even look at the notification. I have a better chance at getting hit by a meteorite than actually getting a mission from Dronebase.

United States | 16 August 2023Just a total waste of time. Don't bother completing their UNPAID training, as they'll probably never call, and when they do, they'll offer you almost nothing. I deleted my account as I was ashamed to be a part of this nonsense. Additionally, customer service is non-existent (even to pilots), good luck getting your questions answered or even talking to an actual human.

United States | 23 August 2022I signed up for this opportunity thinking I could at least use my part107 and fleet of equipment for some side cash. lol. First something went wrong with signing up so I waited about a month before realizing that I was waiting on an email that no one was sending. They fixed pretty quick once I got in touch with them. Then I was told by some one who claimed to be in charge that I didn't need the high altitude shot for my test run since I can only get clearance for 100 ft where I live. That became a minor thing that was fixed once addressed. But then after all signed up they where like "oh. you equipment doesn't work with our software so you can only do certain jobs." I 'm like ok I get that. but then a month and a half later I get a notification for this one house in the Ghetto that I'm supposed to shoot and not tell the tenants, so I'm like wait a sec? someone took it. then 3 weeks later another notification but I was driving so I waited to get home to check, but by then it was taken. I sent them a Karen type email about them wasting my time. No notifications since. lol. I didn't take this app seriously because it seemed that they where not taking much seriously. Perhaps I'm wrong but it seemed more like a bad joke and as a leading format of the representation for the potential of a developing industry as well.

United States | 27 July 2022These guys expect you to work for free and complete missions at the drop of a hat! They take forever to pay their pilots. Often send you scketchy foreclosure missions with 40+ mile travel distances (One way) for only $50. Not flex-able what so ever with pilot schedules. Thanks but NO THANKS Dronebase

United States | 20 April 2022This is the worst company to work for as a drone pilot, dont waist your time! Pay is way below scale they offer 1/4 of what the job actualy pays and if you figure in drone insurance the amount of gas(round trip) your time traveling /time on location shooting the video or pictures and time uploading, your actualy working for free or in many cases losing money. They have received so many bad reviews that they changed there name to "Zeitview" - new name same bad company.

United States | 14 April 2022Pilot in Las Vegas with over 30 DB missions. Today marks the day where I have to say goodbye. Nonpayment of services is not cool. Drone operators beware!

United States | 29 March 2022Overworked and underpaid. Dronebase aims to be competitive, but they are not up front with their costs. The average paying gig is around $50. It takes about an hour to film (if you know what you're doing), 30mins to get there and back, you are not an employee, so if you wreck your drone you will take on all the legal ramifications yourself, then you have to upload the footage to their boggled down back end. All in all it works out to <$25/hr minus gas (cost of owning a vehicle), cost of your drone, batteries, SD cards, insurance, Pilots license, on and on. Their payout rates are insulting. When they started they paid decent until they realize they could screw pilots over for their own profits. They've even called in emergency situations to offer $100 to capture footage for the Associated Press, which means they would have owned the copyright and made a lot of money off it. I'm sure Dronebase pilots would unionize, but there's no community to connect with for a reason. This company sucks.

United States | 07 February 2022Our video turned out amazing. The process was very smooth. Alex and Josh were very thorough and helpful. We will definitely be using them in the future for our commercial real estate needs.

United States | 10 November 2021Frustrating overall Abysmal communication support. Sought timely specific guidance for software integration…F grade Sought clarification to gain better comprehension…F grade Flying the drone is a breeze. Actually delivering what they refer to as “assets” is arguably bad for mental health. Complete waste of time.

United States | 16 April 2021I accepted a mission about an hour away from my house. I considered it basically a break even project because the pay was significantly lower than what I would usually take. I figured if I tried out one job to get a feel for how they conducting their business maybe I could schedule three or four jobs in the same area to make it worth my travels. I was disappointed with my first mission. I traveled to the site twice and thought I gave them exactly what they wanted. Their instructions were very vague. Four hours of drive time and 1 hr of flying and I don’t think I’m going to get paid. They basically just wanted four pictures from the cardinal view. I kept asking them to explain the cardinal view and no one could. I talked to several different customer service reps and finally after the job canceled he sent me an illustration of what they wanted. A day late and a dollar short. I’m not driving another hour to make such little profit. I wish there was a way to send them a lower resolution pic/video from the job site to get them to approve the shots before you upload. I mean, the objective is to give the customer what they want right? So why not more communication while at the job site. Why chance not getting what you want. You can basically do a perfect job and the client just say Nah! Then you get nothing for your effort! I’m hoping none of my uploaded pics are being used!

United States | 20 February 2021DroneBase's customer service and platform has gotten significantly worse over the years for pilots wishing to be a part of their network. Recently, most of the mission I've gotten invitations to have incorrect flight days/times and customer service tends to be slow in their response to these issues. I've had several issues in the past where I go on site to do a mission and they are access issues to take pictures of the property. Overall, this company is not nearly as good as it used to be, as pilots can expect lower pay with much worse help from DroneBase. Payouts are rarely guaranteed after doing a job, as their instructions contradict each other and if you don't interpret them the way they expect you to, they refuse to pay unless you go back on site. In good faith, I can no longer anyway use this platform, due to the risk of not getting paid and the unwillingness of the company to help out its pilots.

United States | 24 January 2021I’ve done almost fifty missions for them. Their customer service is a complete joke. If you have an issue be prepared to talk to five different employees none of which are on the same page so you’ll have to explain yourself to each one of them. They reschedule without informing you and have very little understanding regarding airspace and regulations. I’ve done several jobs for them that require a reshoot due to clouds etc and they quickly reassign pilots if you don’t respond within a few hours. This means You don’t get paid for the work you’ve done because they’re so unorganized on their end. Talking to their customer support is like talking with children. Horrible business structure. This is why they keep losing good pilots and clients.

United States | 26 May 2020I have not had much work from DroneBase this year. I imagine that business has been slow with recent global events. However, as explained in my last review, the few jobs that have been sent to me and declined would not have covered the price of travel for them. I do not want this to scare people away from connecting with DroneBase as I have learned many things about the industry either on the job or through online training. I do wish to receive more jobs in the future so that I may give a better review as that is the only reason I did not give a five star.

United States | 26 May 2020Overall very good, my only complaint is missions sometimes come at 2 or 3 am and I do not have a chance to accept before they are taken.

United States | 24 May 2020I’ve had an excellent experience with Dronebase. Great instructions, training, and very quick pay out! Send me some more jobs!

United States | 24 May 2020The pay for pilots is not fair compensation for the jobs requested. I have been flying full time for over 4 years, and have a high skill set. To be honest, the only reason I accept any job from DroneBase, is for practice, I consider the compensation to be a joke. Additionally, the time schedule to upload assets needs to be extended to 24hrs., not 4. This company has a terrible reputation with legitimate pilots. I am disappointed with DroneBase, as are my peers in the drone industry. Somewhere, this company went off the rails, and it’s unfortunate.
