Overall it was a good experience and the aerial photos turned out nice. My only issue was that there was an error in the scheduling system which caused a delay in getting the mission scheduled and cost me a few days.

I have used Dronebase for a couple of years now. In the beginning things seemed to go ok, but it was always difficult to get in touch with anyone if there were issues. Since May 23rd of this year, I have not received a job and have gotten the runaround for months about how jobs will show up when they are available. More recently, I have been told I needed to upload a copy of my FAA I'd so I can get jobs. They have NEVER asked for this and have had my license number since the beginning. They want you to upload it via their app, but there is no option for that and the only form of communication with them for pilots is via email which they haven't responded to In weeks now. I'm at a loss. I would recommend staying away from this company until they learn to communicate better.

Michael was great. Very professional, easy to work with, and I would highly recommend him for any drone footage you may need.

I am rating this mission a 3 because after successfully completing a 15 acres mission I was told that I completed the mission incorrectly. After much email traffic I was instructed to reshoot the mission. This time it was for 5 acres. The original mission was submitted incorrectly from dronebass and I wasted over an hour and a half completing it. Better communication is needed. Or dronebase needs to be cut out of the equation completely and have the pilot interact directly with the client.

Dronebase is a great company to work for if you're a certified remote pilot wanting a unique side job. The people behind the scenes handling mail and mission briefings are extremely helpful and never let you down when you have any questions or concerns. Have a part 107 certification and a DJI multirotor? Looking for something on the side to supplement your income? This is the place to go to.

We have utilized Drone Base on several properties. They have always created great shots and videos - which are imperative to our Landlords and Tenants. Great communication and reasonably priced!

I enjoyed doing business with the people at DroneBase. Everyone is genuinely interested in making sure the entire experience goes well and that at the end their customer is happy. I was satisfied and happy. Good job by all. The pilot who flew my mission is a very pleasant and competent person whose side line is College Professor and Book Author. I was impressed with the service and quality of work provided.

Dronebase gives detail instructions on the missions for pilots and they hold high expectations that these instructions are followed to achieve quality images/video for their clients.

Honestly it's great to make money with my drone and DroneBase has been really easy for that. I'd have given it 5 stars but the only downfall is the very low volume of missions in my area. I'd like to fly more but only get a couple missions that pop up a year, barely enough to make much more than a couple hundred dollars a year. Still some income is better than none and they have always paid out so no problems there. I love everything else they do and provide. So really it's a 5 star only missing one because I want to work more and it's not available in my area. I'm sure there are other states/locations that offer many more missions to make a lot of money but it's just not by me yet.

DroneBase is a great company to work with, with two exceptions. 1. They aren’t clear on some very small things, causing me to have to return to a couple jobs twice. I redid them because I want my reputation to be a good one. 2. They don’t account for mileage on jobs. I drive an hour to a mission that pays $XX, and they send a mission two hours away that pays the same. Other than that, their communication is great, and they’ll answer you all days, even weekends.

I have to give this company credit. I needed a real estate pkg. of aerial pics as I needed to sell my home after the death of my spouse. As a result, I was an impatient, emotional client. They responded to every Email. Jema was the epitome of professionalism. The pilot, sent to my home, was also polite and professional. And, lastly, the pics, in my estimation, were beautiful. I’ve seen many real estate aerial pics and I felt mine are superior. I definitely would recommend Drone Base to any one.

I run my own full time aerial and ground photography service but still fly missions for Dronebase when my schedule permits. Anyone in this business knows that a lot of the work that we do requires hours of photo and video editing in addition to flying or videoing at our job sites. The main thing I like about DroneBase is that there is no editing. DroneBase is not a company that you can make a living off of. It is to supplement and earn extra money so if you think you can buy a drone and make a ton of money that won't happen. The pay is still low but has gotten a little better. When I say low I mean a majority of the jobs may only be $40-85 but that is for normally under an hour of your time. So $40-85 and hour is a great hourly rate for some that need that. The other downside is that you live in a large area a mission may go out to several hundred pilots and the fastest to respond gets the mission if you are qualified. Again DroneBase is great for extra income if that's what you are looking for. My business is in a rural area so there aren't many pilots which increases the chances of mission for the pilot. Already this year I have made enough from DroneBase to pay for my state and county business license as well other normal business expenses.

Have been flying with DB since the spring of 2017. While my overall experience has been positive, there are things trending in the wrong direction. Payouts continue to decrease year over year. A mission to secure photographs/videos used to pay $200 and above, now those missions are few and far between and at most pay $175. The frequency of available jobs now seems inconsistent as well. There will be days and weeks where there will be no missions available, and then in a period of a few days, several jobs pop up for the taking. Missions are being sent well outside the scope of my city and no additional payments for travel time are being offered. Driving 5 hours round trip, one hour on site for $70? No thanks. Also, mission requests are now being sent out in the middle of the night. So, if you happen to be asleep like most people and don't have immediate access to your phone, you'll likely miss out on available missions.

Pros: Love the quality and simplicity of the interface. Blazingly-fast payment speed. Solid scheduling infrastructure. Easy to use. Cons: Abysmal pay scale; consistently less than a hundred dollars for work worth well into the several-hundreds. Best used as a source of pocket-change only.

Had just 2 jobs with them in 4 years. There were others that came through but were all so low priced that by the time you travel, pay for insurance and pay dronebase their cut, they were literally $30 flights (for up to an hours travel). Signed for a mission today which was $100+ and local, and got all prepared, then they kept sending me "you need to confirm" emails, which I had already done twice. I was out on a regular paying shoot, and didn't have the time to stop the shoot and mess around with them every 5 minutes, so I just got them to cancel the mission, and then cancelled my account. NOT RECOMMENDED
