Drone Base has been wonderful and fast paying. The missions are clearly spelled out. No hassle!!

FYI DroneBase did me wrong! Wednesday night 8pm I get 2 new mission requests. I accepted both considering they were somewhat close to my house and I had the next day off work anyway. Thursday morning I go to the first house in 0° Indiana weather. First shoot goes great so I head to the second house straight off the address from the app. After collecting the images I head home to upload my work. I log onto my email and I have the typical Mission accepted please reply email. But on the one the address is different than the house the app sent me too. So I emailed them asking which house I needed to shoot and they replied back with the address in the email not on the app. So I fire an email right back stating that I already shot the house the app sent me to and I expect to be paid for my time and resources considering It’s not my fault they had the wrong information. They state that unfortunately they won’t be able to pay me for shooting the wrong house when it was their mistake! After multiple phone calls trying to reach someone and even more 20+ emails they tell me they will pay me 30$. I told him that was completely unacceptable in that they needed to own up and make it right. They ended up canceling my missions and are now ignoring me. I told them I am a very persistent person and will do everything in my power to make sure everyone of their pilots and clients knows how they handled this situation! I gave them every option to make things right and they let $30 ruin a working relationship. Given the chance they will do the same to you!

I signed up and then avoided missions for about a year. Big mistake. Dronebase is easy to work with, missions are clear, realistic, and safe, and they pay quickly. The only thing that would make it better is more missions! I recommend highly.

Dronebase is great however the pilot pay is not there yet.

I reached out to communicate my disappointment with the photos that were taken on January 25th. I received an email from a customer service rep that mentioned there would be another batch of pictures to be taken and that I will get emails when the new flight is SCHEDULED and I have still received nothing. For the money that I paid I am very unsatisfied with the quality of pictures as well as the lack of follow up and communication from DroneBase customer service.

Extremely low earnings for pilots. Been burned twice on missions where the cloudiness allowed is unrealistic for the region. 10% Cloudiness allowed in Seattle in January? Are you kidding me? That shouldn't even be an option. Then they withhold payment because of the cloudiness and try scheduling for a date with rain and 94% cloud cover. Every time I email them, a different person responds and rarely do they seem to fully acknowledge my previous reply. Don't bother signing up if you fly anything that isn't DJI.

Dronebase helps the pilot with training and support !! It's a great way to make some money with minimal time !

DroneBase has been a good way of supplementing by normal drone business. Missions are normally easy to understand, and the DroneBase app makes delivery of photos very easy. The only thing that I wish DroneBase would do differently is the method of mission assignments. The quantity of pilots versus the number of available missions makes the first-come-first-served method of assigning missions very competitive, and most missions are already gone by the time I have a chance to even look at them.

DroneBase has a solid platform, great clients, and super quick payment. It has become a great way for me to earn additional income while continuing to hone my skills as a pilot!

The payouts for jobs are marginal at best. With that being said, the inflexibility on scheduling and weather are tough to deal with. Folks that are working with dronebase are typically part time drone pilots that have to maintain other full time work to pay the bills. Scheduling can be difficult because weather is such a factor. A drone shoot for a residential property, they only pay out $60 for which is about half of a reasonably priced freelancer doing this work. On top of the low pay, if it's too cloudy, after you have already put in all of the work, they will NOT pay you and force you to do it again to be paid. It's very unreasonable. If I was doing the work myself I would charge twice as much, then edit the photo's to make them look good. A basic level photoshop user can do a sky replacement to make it look good.

Solid company that features great communication between its staff and the freelance pilots out in the field. Their infrastructure makes it very easy for pilots to upload assets in a timely manner. DroneBase delivers a quality product to customers, and gives their pilots the tools and information needed to keep the quality level high. From the original notice of a mission through to the finished product, the process is seamless.

Excellent company.

I wish there were more missions available in my area. I love that they automatically pay you once you submit the shots. It takes a few days from there to hit my account but at least I know the payment is on the way.
