Recently purchased a Yamaha THR5 amp…. Using Manns Music “email me when back in stock” system I was advised when the THR5 was in stock at Colchester store. Purchased on-line at competitive price and used the click an collect . Nice to purchase from a local independent music store…. Looking for a Bass guitar and amp for daughters next …. Will be visiting soon

Ordered a flute online. There was a glitch with online payment so phoned up and all was straightened out quickly and friendlyly (new word). Flute delivered as promised but daughter did not get on with it and so again, a quick call and I was helped with the returns process. Refund was provided without delay. Overall a very positive experience, would happily use again in the future.

Amp arrived safely packaged less than 48 hours after I ordered it on a Sunday. You can't ask for better than that.

I recently bought a Blackstar modelling amp from Mann's Music. The amp was well priced and delivered on time as promised. However I discovered early on it was not really suitable for my needs so I returned it. It was taken back without quibble and the full amount was credited to my account. I asked for their opinions about low powered valve amps and settled on a Blackstar HT1R mk2 which I am very happy with. Communication was excellent and it was a real treat to deal with people on line who were knowledgeable and genuinely interested.

Always great service at Mann's music, it's important to look after those family-run business' as you don't get the same level of service elsewhere.

Very efficient and much cheaper than the same products on eBay et cetera. It is good to have a shop with such a range of products on your doorstep. I ordered online and picked up an hour or so later, very friendly and efficient staff. I was buying products to clean my double bass, nothing too exciting, but they have a very good range of stuff, D'Addario Lemon Oil for the ebony, and Hindersol for the Spruce and Maple, I would recommended both.

We are very grateful for the service Mann's music provided. moving house is so stressful especailly when exchange contract and complete at same day at 30th June(end of the stamp duty holiday). As my buyer and his solistor won't commit to the purchase until last minute(they finally did at 4:30pm 29th),we have not be able to find a house moving company,and there is no way I can move the piano ourself. Manns comes to the rescue at last minute request, they helpped us by taking our pinao from the old house, stored it for several days, and then delivered it to our new house, all with reasonal price. Without them, I don't know how could I complete and empty the house on time. Not just the addtional help they provided to us, the music intstrumet we purchased from them are also very good. When my daughter startted her 2nd phase of guitar lesson, with help from manns, we purchased a £450 guitar which later on our tutor think it sounds so beautifully and worth much more than the price tag. I will strongly recommend manns from my heart not just for their product but more for their service.

Bought a Blackstar Studio 10 6l6 amp from Mann’s Music at a very good price and the colour I wanted (Surf Green) to run in stereo with another in a different colour I already have. I didn’t want it delivered next day as was offered but elected for a day later in the week as I was working. The amp arrived the day I requested and was well boxed being supplied in the makers box with another box around it for further protection. Very happy with the amp and the service and will order from Mann’s again!

Been playing for 6 months learning on a Pacifica 012 wanted my first acustic so purchased a Yamaha FG800 its perfect 👌🏼 delivered in 2 days, for £230 thought it would have came with so little extras as in pick thin bag and strap but it was simply just the guitar and a Alan for trust.

My first time buying from Mann's Music and it definitely won't be the last. Great communication with Tim regarding my order and the guitar came well packaged and quickly too. As for the guitar, I really recommend the Guild OM-240 CE, it's alot of guitar for the price and Mann's where the cheapest around. Will be buying again from here.

I am in total agreement with all other five star reviews for this historically old music (1854!) shop. I had occasion to travel to Colchester from London for the purpose of trying out and purchasing a guitar, and I was treated with professional, helpful and good-natured service. The setting of Mann's Music is on a delightful high street, just steps from a lovely park with other historic venues: a castle and remnants of WWII defensive barriers. All in all, a delightful and productive outing to this very worthwhile music shop!
