United States | 17 November 2015RockIT held on to my device for 3 weeks with no call. When I went back in they said they "couldn't figure it out" and gave it back to me. (I was using them as the local repair shop for my Square Trade warranty.) They also hadn't tried one really obvious work-around to narrow down the problem. The person at the counter was completely clueless, mainly because the repair tech had given him very little info on the paperwork to go by. So, I went to plan B and shipped it to the Square Trade repair shop, who repaired and returned it within ONE WEEK. So much for trying to support local businesses.

United States | 17 November 2015I sent my phone in to RockIT Repairs for water damage, my phone would boot but would never get past the startup screen. When they received my phone they let me know and as soon as they did they're diagnostics/repair on it that it would now turn on and function but that the outward facing camera needed to be replaced. I had them replace it and received my phone shortly after. The phone would turn on and function just as stated. However, several feature on my phone no longer work, I'm sure it's due to the water damage and nothing RockIT did though. My screen rotation no longer works(Camera stuck in Horizontal mode too), speaker is muffled sounding, phone randomly resets without initiating. The repair was much cheaper than purchasing a new phone so I am thankful for the service and would use again.

United States | 17 November 2015I first talked to a representative on the phone about the repair I was looking at having done to my device. I was told this is a common repair and they have great success in getting it fixed and operating properly quickly. I sent our device for the repair. They did send me a picture in an email to "Show me" that the repair was a success. When I received the device in the mail a few days later it still did not work. I called to ask and they told me it worked before they shipped it and they sent the picture as proof. I was told either sorry or I could ship it back and pay to have it fixed again. Very disappointed in the service and repair. It woudl have been better for them to simply say "We can't fix that." Then I would not have wasted my money on shipping and cost.

United States | 17 November 2015My experience was so bad, there was nothing to pay them for. They did not fix my phone, and still charged me $29. They did not do anything to minimize the water damage. I got absolutely no communication from them, eventually just picked up my phone and left. I sent a snail mail letter outlining my dissatisfaction. (No answer....no surprise.). I hope they've improved since then.

United States | 17 November 2015I was traveling to Virginia for business meetings, and when I arrived I discovered that the hard drive on my laptop had crashed. It was essential to have a working computer or my entire weeklong trip would be wasted. I took the laptop to RockIT and they installed a new (and larger!) hard drive, complete with Windows image, by the next morning. I used Carbonite to restore all my essential files that night at the hotel, and my trip was saved. The techs at RockIT were fast, competent, and very good at communicating with me where they were in the process. I found their prices to be very reasonable too.

United States | 17 November 2015I sent my Kindle Fire HD 7 in as I have always had a lot of trouble with the battery. They fixed the charge port but I had called and spoken with several people asking if they would also check to see if the battery itself needed replacing. They did not check or replace the battery and I am still having issues with the battery draining within 2 hours. Now it also is draining while it is plugged into the adapter if it is turned on. I am left searching the internet to find out how to replace the battery myself. Everything else was fine with good emailed communication as to where they were with my repairs. I am updating my review now. Within half an hour of posting my 2 star review, the owner replied and responded in a way that I was completely not expecting - to make it right. I am so impressed by this offer that I am updating to 5 stars before the work is even done. Thanks Jonathan!!

United States | 17 November 2015Three years ago I had them repair my broken galaxy s4 glass screen. It was sent back to me with significantly decreased sensitivity, I couldn't click anything along the edges of the sceeen. I sent it back for a 2nd time and I got it back with permanent black and brown marks on the screen. They didn't even apologize, just made the excuse that they were using a new machine. They offered for me to send it back a 3rd time but I was tired of paying shipping for a company I no longer trusted. Would not recommend these guys to anyone despite their highly convincing marketing.
