I was booking the survey at my property to take the next steps with Project Solar when their salesperson insisted they would only come 'if my husband or partner was present'. Yes, I am a woman, but the house is owned solely in my name and I pay all the bills. The visit was then downgraded by Project Solar to a phone call survey instead, after I asked why they're using such a sexist sales practice in 2025. This is an aggressive sales technique also used on women by visiting shutter and blinds companies and I'm staggered to have to deal with this in the twenty-first century. HUGE red flag I'm afraid, Project Solar. Change your sales script! You can ask women if they are the homeowner, sole owner and/or bill-payer before assuming it's the husband!

I cannot remember the last time I had end to end customer service like this. Project Solar were so informative and supportive throughout the whole process. Even checking in after sub-contractors had visited the property for scaffolding. The after care has also been fantastic while we await some certificates to get on the best tariff to compliment our system. The system is also aesthetically pleasing, with great care taken for the panels, batteries and cables. I did not want any part of the install looking untidy

I recently had a solar and battery installation set up with an inverter through Project Solar UK, and while my overall experience was positive, there were a few hiccups along the way. Here's a detailed breakdown: Sales Process: The initial visit from the salesperson left me feeling a bit uncomfortable. They were quite pushy and I felt pressured into a finance agreement, even after mentioning multiple times that I wanted to explore loan options first. However, they did take the time to thoroughly explain the product and how it would work. I raised this during the after-job call, and they assured me it would be investigated. Installation Experience: The installation itself was smooth initially. The team completed the work in a day, and the power loss was minimal, which I appreciated. However, post-installation issues arose when several leaks developed in my house due to cracked tiles caused by the install. First Leak: They quickly came out to inspect the issue and followed up with a fix on another day. Subsequent Leaks: Unfortunately, there were additional leaks in another room caused by more cracked tiles. They addressed these as well, but it happened again. Final Fix: To their credit, the company responded professionally and decided to install a different type of mounting bracket at no extra cost. This solution has resolved the issue completely, and I’ve had no leaks since. System Functionality: The app provided is user-friendly and gives great insight into system usage and controls. However, I haven’t been able to fully utilize it yet as my smart meters have stopped working—important to note, this is not Project Solar UK’s fault. If you’re considering this setup, make sure your smart meters are operational beforehand. Overall Satisfaction: Despite the initial challenges, I’m happy with the service. Project Solar UK handled the issues promptly and professionally and even identified an unrelated problem in my house that had been causing issues in my bathroom. Price: The system is on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for. The peace of mind knowing they will resolve issues without a fight is worth it. I’m glad I chose them as my solution provider and look forward to a bright future with my solar setup.

Project Solar after 16 months I had a substantial solar and battery installation 16 months ago. Nothing went wrong and the installation has worked perfectly since then. They explained everything clearly and the important paperwork was very good. After several months I had a problem with my electricity supplier when I noticed that my bills had more than quadrupled. The supplier ignored me until I went back to Project Solar who diagnosed the problem in three minutes i.e, the reversal of the CT clamp when the smart meter was installed causing reversal of polarity. I eventually got a full £1,200 refund from the electricity supplier. Without Project Solar I'd still be banging my head against the wall. The point here is that Project Solar was still there and approachable. Their customer support was more or less instant. They answered the phone in England straight away. They keep very good records of every installation and can immediately identify you. They keep pictures of all their installations and particularly important was their picture of the CT clamp on the right way round when they left our site. This impresses me and its comforting that a truly professional outfit is there for the life of your installation.

Everything was so easy no hassle at all

Great experience with Project Solar, from the sales pitch to the installation, and after care too. You do get what you pay for in terms of service. Sales pitch is what it is, but Larry explained everything fully and accurate to what happened following agreement, and what we needed to do with our energy supplier also. Installation was very quick, and the installers managed to rejig the layout so we had more panels in the better position. Overall I would recommend using Project Solar, they are pricier than rivals, and they don't hide the fact, but as previously stated, you get what you pay for.

I was more than happy with the entire process of the solar panel installation from start to finish. The team turned up on time, explained what they were going to do and then just got on with it. There was no fuss, no problems and everything was done very professionally. Once they had completed the installation I was given very good instruction as to how the system worked. Brilliant company from start to finish. Kept up to date at every point and everything explained to us perfectly. Competitive quote, quality products used, knowledgeable teams in-house and installation team, and so far so good.

Ordered 12 solar panels with a storage battery, which were fitted in September 2024. The technician was very good, ensured that the system was correctly fitted and tested prior to departure. Set up the FoxCloud 2.0 app on mobile phones and explained the app. A manual or information booklet would have been more helpful. Still having problems understanding the readings on the app. Early days yet, won't see the benefits of having solar panels until late summer 2025. In regards to what savings will be made on our electricity bills.
