We had a wonderful time at the house we rented through Provence Holidays. We had a LOT of questions during the rental process and they were always lovely and responsive (and in English). The house was perfect and exactly as described on the website.

I felt the need to review Provence Holidays on here as within the past month returned from the most amazing holiday with them for our honeymoon. When I first booked with them, having not heard of them before, I came to Trustpilot for reassurance and confirmation they were a good company, however after seeing a lot of negative reviews I was immediately unsettled. But now having had the holiday of a lifetime, I can honestly say they are a wonderful company to deal with. Our villa was absolutely amazing, so beautifully designed and the owner couldn’t have done enough for us during our stay. Provence Holidays were very responsible and considering everyone we spoke to was French, they always spoke very good English and were so helpful along the way. Thanks Provence Holidays for a fabulous time in Provence!

We rented in Goult during the Rugby World Cup 2023 to entertain friends and clients. The location was great, the property peaceful and very comfortable and generally well appointed. Our friends and clients loved it and Provence Holidays made sure we had everything we needed but I would advise users to make sure you clearly explain your requirements and do a bit of research of the area you intend on staying as it will make a big difference in terms of the property you choose and the experiences you book (wine tasting, cooking courses etc.)

Villa Eloi itself in Maussane-les-Alpilles was well appointed and located. The outdoor space was great and offers welcome shade in the day. The town itself is a short walk away with lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. Unfortunately, we had a serious issue with the drainage on the second day resulting in sewage coming up through the plugs and floor. The owner was quick to react and tried to remedy the situation with professional help. We had to endure a day with no facilities of our own using public conveniences until we got the key for the villa next door (which whilst welcome in the circumstances was still very inconvenient). The solution only lasted a day and reoccurred, this time worse. The owner again was on site after an urgent plea, and it was clear the house was now uninhabitable and a health hazard. Very fortunately he owned the villa next door, and it was empty at this time. He offered us this villa as a replacement, so we had to pack up and move mid-week and forfeit another day trip. The alternative was to return home, so we had to compromise and make the most of it, but the fact was the new villa was actually two separate apartments and not ideal or what we had paid for (e.g. some of the party had to share beds.) The next day was spent listening to digging work in the original villa and raw sewage odours over breakfast. Whilst the owner did everything in his power and must be commended in a difficult situation, Provence Holidays were made aware of the situation however chose to ignore our request for some compensation due to the disruption and inconvenience mentioned. They skipped over the details of how we had effluent coming through the floors and therefore only had two relaxing mornings to speak of in the villa over the week and therefore didn't actually experience the villa or holiday we had paid for. They simply didn't want to know, which the family groups involved find reprehensible. We will never again use or recommend Provence Holidays, who clearly prioritise profit over customer satisfaction. On a separate note, the Wifi didn't work for the entire week in either villa due to unpaid bills. Provence Holiday simply glossed over all the issues raised.

very beautifully situated, very modern house

I booked a holiday in September 2022 through Provence Holidays for this coming September 2023. I paid a substantial deposit. I knew the area pretty well and only wanted to stay within one village - Goult. The holiday is to celebrate my father's 80th birthday and he loves the village but we wanted to be right there in walking distance of shops, restaurants etc. I found what I thought would be the perfect property via Provence Holidays but only after agreeing to the terms and conditions and electronically signing an agreement did I get told the exact the address. It's located 3.3km from Goult and a 45 minutes walk across a main D road! Or a 5-6 minute drive which defeated the whole object of wanting to stroll up to the shops etc. The whole point was to stay in the village! I contacted Provence Holidays and was told that they would never have suggested that property if they'd known my criteria as it was so far out (I hadn't asked for their input on booking as I know the area so just booked it online). So why describe it as 'Charming farmhouse with infinity pool IN GOULT' then in the description mention again 'LOCATED IN GOULT..' when it clearly isn't?! They tried to find me a replacement property but none were suitable so I asked for a refund as a gesture of goodwill. They said they can only refund if someone else books that property for the same dates. Unlikely! I feel I was misinformed by their website describing the property as being somewhere it clearly wasn't and now without that £884 deposit we can't now afford to find somewhere else.

We were very disappointed with the property we rented from Provence Holidays. By no stretch of the imagination could this property be described, as the particulars claimed, as “luxurious”, “gorgeous” or “wonderful”. It had been partly refurbished but generally contained largely cheap, old furniture. We raised a list of complaints on our return which went unanswered. Will never use them again
