I am a 22 year old who came to see Mr Goel to correct my near vision after having cataract surgery. Mr Goel was very understanding of my wishes and went through all possible options with me so I could make an informed decision. on the 15th July I had a very thorough eye examination with Mr Goel, he was very professional, making me feel very relaxed through the whole process. he discussed the best treatment to correct my vision & clarified the cost clearly. he told me what the procedure would be like and I felt confident that he had the skills to correct my vision. On the 10th August I was admitted to have my left eye procedure, I arrived a little apprehensive, But Mr Goel was there to reassure me, he introduced me to his team and again explained the procedure, everyone was so relaxed and friendly, I had a nurse with me all the time making sure I was ok, Mr Goel completed the procedure and explined the after care, I never felt a thing during the procedure & he was very Professional. In my 90th year I was a little anxious at the prospect of any surgery to my eyes let alone attending appointments with professionals etc. I needn’t have worried, I was quickly put at ease by Mr Goel and his team. All my questions and concerns were answered and the procedures explained in a manner that I not only understood but without me feeling patronised! I am delighted with the results.

After suffering with high myopia most my adult life I decided to have laser eye surgery. I spent numerous hours researching the different types of surgery (SMILE, LASIK, LASEK, PRK & Lens Replacement), the risks, the healing process and the overall outcome. I spoke to various places as I wanted to make sure I was going to receive the best care with it being a surgical procedure. I did speak to one well known high street company but was rather taken back when I was told the one and only time I would meet the surgeon would be the day of the procedure – for me this was a huge red flag! If something was to go wrong I would want to see the same surgeon who performed the procedure, just like you would in any other type of surgery. Another red flag was the constant calls trying to persuade me to book in so I didn’t “lose the date”, but I think losing my sight would have been a bigger concern had I gone with these sales people. I spoke to a couple of other places, however my gut feeling was to go with Mr Goel at the Eye Correction Centre and I can’t express enough how glad I am I did because he is an extremely good Consultant. My initial appointment was made through his secretary Sue, who was very friendly, helpful and patient in answering my many questions! At my first appointment, after having lots of different scans done by his college – who is also very lovely and puts you at ease, Mr Goel discussed all my options and I was advised to go home and think about whether I would like to go ahead with correcting my sight, there was no pressure whatsoever. I did already know from researching that I wanted to have SMILE due to the faster healing time and no flap. I had SMILE done in Sheffield a few weeks later and was blown away by the difference in my sight – I was driving without glass or contact lenses the very next day! Because I spent so much time researching I knew that for a small percentage of people who suffer with really high myopia like myself there was a risk of having some residual refractive error in my sight once my eyes had healed. This was the case for me however this has been resolved by having an enhancement through Lasek. I was dreading this procedure because of the longer healing times, however it was no where near as bad as I thought and my sight is brilliant now. If you are considering any type of eye surgery then you should definitely make an appointment to see Mr Goel, I can guarantee you will be so glad you did. I really can’t recommend him enough.

I had both eyes operated on for cataracts with a gap of 2 days between. The surgeon was Mr Quah. The whole experience was faultless. The initial consultation was thorough, and Mr Quah explained the options and was very reassuring. The procedures themselves were absolutely painless. And very successful. Mr Quah is relaxed and relaxing and gives you great confidence in him. I would not hesitate to recommend him. I only wish that I'd had lens replacement surgery years ago!

Very happy with the service I received and I cannot thank Mr Goel enough. I was extremely nervous but he put me totally at ease and explained everything very thoroughly. Fantastic aftercare as I have a history of inflammation of the eye and I was seen at least three times more than usual for cataract surgery at no additional cost to myself.

I had lens replacement in both eyes at Spire Regency Hospital Macclesfield. My Surgeon, Mr Quah was superb. From the first appointment to the final check up, I felt reassured at all times.
