Mr Quah treated me for a membrane which had grown over a lens which had been fitted during cataract surgery. The treatment was extremely quick, no surgery needed, and was extremely effective.

In September 2021 i had bilateral cataract surgery at the Eye Correction Centre in Wilmslow under the care of Mr Say Aun Quah, consultant ophthalmic surgeon. I had struggled with my eye sight for many years and it really affected my quality of life and my day to day living. I was referred to the NHS but realised I had only one choice of lens which would leave me still struggling and requiring glasses. A friend told me about Mr Quah who could remove my cataracts and insert an intraocular lens that would hopefully enable me to see without glasses. Both eyes were treated within a couple of days. My vision is now excellent and I can read, watch TV, drive and enjoy my hobbies without any need for glasses at all. Excellent operations with great results. I can now drive and watch TV without glasses for th first time in 65 years.Reading vision has not settled down yet but will wait and see. Expensive but the result was worth it.

I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes plus correction of astigmatism in one eye by Mr Goel at Spire Hospital in Hull. I chose to have an initial private consultation as I was unsatisfied by the treatment received to that point on the NHS. After extensive tests at the Spire using state of the art equipment followed by long discussions with Mr Goel regarding the different lens replacement options I decided to go ahead with EDOF lens replacement. I am more than delighted with my vision which is better than 20/20 plus no need for glasses or expensive contact lenses. The experience was excellent in every way, Mr Goel took care with his explanations and it was pleasing to be treated like an intelligent person. The staff at the Spire also did a superb job and I felt that I was in competent hands throughout the entire process. I recently had 2 cataract operations performed by Mr Goel and am delighted with the results. At the initial consultation my history and concerns were listened to patiently and many different eye tests carried out. The results together with the benefits and risks of surgery were fully explained and the operations scheduled for a few weeks time. I think most people are quite nervous initially but Mr Goel was reassuring and the procedures were painless and quick. The equipment was comprehensive and state of the art and the team made sure I was comfortable and had no problems. I believe Mr Goel is an excellent surgeon. I found him honest and trustworthy as to the results I could expect, although quite direct and busy. The surgery was even more successful than I had hoped for but I would have appreciated more information from the clinic where the procedures were carried out.
