I first came across MrJoneswatches on Youtube video by Mark from Long Island Watches, specifically "A perfectly useless Afternoon" and was blown away by the level of creativity as well as the refreshing new perspective on time telling. But I was still not sure, given the long lug to lug width in relation to my 6.5 inch wrist. But all that went out of the window when I first saw "Beam me up" in quartz and my first thought was "If this comes out in mechanical, then this is the watch for me". And that's exactly what happened, I had subscribed to the newsletter, got an email, which I'd waited for and it happened. I am now the proud owner of "beam me up mechanical" and I'm still not able to get over the "beam of light" minute hand in a watch without battery and no real light source. I'm wonderstruck by the level of technicality and the thought that has gone into this project. The customer care itself needs special mention as they handheld me and my innumerable, often irritating queries throughout the entire purchase. Great customer support. Wasn’t able to solve the customs clearance issue since the problem was on the importing side, but they replied fast enough that I found it helpful and made it clear what the problem is. The watch looks great. Very vibrant. Lugs a bit long and thin but it’s okay. Part of the strap wasn’t finished properly so it was itchy, but solved it with a small knife and cut it. The watch strap itself looks and feels great. Took about an hour to fully break in and take the shape of my wrist. Thank you for the watch.
