United States | 14 September 2024Purchased MasterCard gift card from a grocery store and put $60.00 on it. The card was ACTIVE the moment after purchase. I then go home and get online to check my balance. To get my balance, I had to open an account on two separate websites (giftcardmall.com) and (giftcards.com), 30 minutes later I'm attempting to make a buy online and the vendor denies the sale due "INSUFFICIENT FUNDS"? WHAT ! ! ! ! I 'AGAIN' verified my balance, except now my balance is $17.61 ! What happened to the remaining $42.39 ? I then spent the next 20 min. trying to circumvent their automated "Dead-End, Let's chase our tail "customer service platform. After some digging, got another customer service phone number that connected me to EL SALVADOR. I spoke with two people who had poor English and could NOT provide a cogent explanation to my questions. When pressed, they reinterated : Sorry, but you'll receive your purchase in 7 to 10 DAYS. I said to them"You have my MONEY, just release it". Their reply was: We're giving you a credit of $42.39, bringing your balance back to $60. I verified the balance and it was returned to it's original figure. I said to the representative, " Stay on the phone while I attempt this purchase". Once again, sale denied by giftcards.com The representative then tried to blame the vendor for NOT accepting the money. In total, 3 attempts were made to execute a purchase. They ALL FAILED. WHAT ! In my opinion, this is a company that takes your money and then parks it in an interest bearing account and sits on it for as long as possible. In my view this company is clearly committing FRAUD. Are victims going to pay $2,500 - $5000 to drag this company to small claims. N O ! That's what they count on. Whether my case is resolved or not, I'm reporting them to the U.S. Dept. Of Justice.

United States | 14 September 2024I sent my daughter a gift card for her birthday and it shows on there on her side that every month almost $6 is going to get taken off of the card if I am wrong please correct me. If I'm not corrected I will never buy from this company again. And I will also let everybody I know about this

United States | 14 September 2024In the past, I have received two virtual Visas gift cards and had no issue. both gift cards from the same person, and I used them both at the exact same place, with no trouble. The gifted amounts were different for each, both under $30. However the last one, $50, again from the same person and went to use at the same place - doesn't work. Tried a couple other places....nope. Getting frustrated because I have no idea why it's being denied. It's an active card, the balance is there. No matter where or what amount I try, NO SUCH LUCK. it doesn't work. At all. And it's more than an inconvenience for me, definitely has me screwed up creek without a paddle type of screwed. My phone's speakers are busted so I cannot call customer service and waiting or email support has been taking an insanely unsatisfactory long drawn out and not efficient process.

Secondly, the recipient wasn't able to open the link via text!! I called customer service and he had to resend the text. Again it didn't work. The recipient had to copy the web address in order to open it on her computer. Very inconvenience! I will never used your services for ecards!!

United States | 13 September 2024The mobile platform was great for ordering and selecting an animated card to send. It would have been nice to have some kind of follow up confirmation that the recipient of the gift card had received and opened the message.

United States | 13 September 2024I ordered a $150 virtual visa gift card on September 1st. I have sent an email and never received a response. I have tried calling 4 times and haven't be able to get through to anyone. When the order was originally placed I received one email with a retrieval reference number, and a second with no info but stating the card is on its way. Its 9/12 and I still haven't received my order. 9/17/2024 I received my virtual card; the customer service team reached out to me and was extremely helpful!

Addenduem: Saul was true to his word and I just received a thank you note from my grandson. . .Just two days late. Nonetheless, I waited it out because I particularly wanted him to have an Amtrack gift card to contribute to his visits with his girlfriend in Chicago.

Giftcards.com processed the GC and sent me the Sephora GC but once I try and use online it doesn’t recognize it and says it is invalid. I have tried numerous times to contact Giftcards.com and response to help with my issue.

United States | 11 September 2024UPDATE 12 September 2024. Apparently, gift cards.com needs more information in order to better respond to my complaint. My review contains the case number they assigned to the complaint I filed with them in July. They don’t need my phone number. They have my email. They can contact me directly by email as they have previously. They know exactly what card this involves, and they could resolve this problem if they wanted to. However, it is more profitable for them to not resolve these cases. One merely has to read the other reviews related to unusable cards already paid for and the funds are pocketed by this pathetic excuse for a company. Trustpilot should consider allowing negative stars for reviews of businesses that operate this way and then pretend to “need more information” to resolve the issue. I will just do a one star weekly update until the issue is resolved which probably means I will be doing them for years. ORIGINAL REVIEW I received a gift card and was never able to use it. Several days of the big run around via email. I provided details about the card their customer service requested and photos of the card. They had all the information they needed to resolve the issue, but it’s clearly more convenient for them to keep the money. They clearly know the value and all other details including the value of the charges attempted on the card (which I did provide). If the card value I was told upon receipt was different than the actual amount, I have no way of knowing it. It is however a convenient excuse for keeping someone else’s money. If it can’t be resolved, at least the money should be returned to the original purchaser. Instead, this company very conveniently keeps the money taking a monthly fee for doing nothing. This company is a joke at best and something else entirely at worst. This was their last reply after they resolved nothing except to keep the money from the gift card for themselves. The “resolution reached” was they kept the money. They had more than enough information to overcome their deep concern for my security. “Hello, We hope this email finds you well. We are pleased to inform you that your Case CS13360558 has been reviewed by our team, and a resolution has been completed. Please see the resolution details for your Case below: For the security of our customers, we need to request the original value on the card. In case you need further assistance, please reach out to the purchaser so we can access the order and find a solution for your situation. Your patience and understanding are very appreciated. As a resolution has been reached, this is our final response to your case. However, you may respond if you have any questions or doubts. We appreciate your patience as we worked on the case and look forward to servicing you in the future. Best regards, Cardholder Support Team”
