I ordered the product a week ago, is was marked as being in stock, received an email the following day to say it was on back order and would be a few days. it has now been a week and I have not received any further news on what the further delay is or whether it has been dispatched or anything. I have sent an email to Customer Services asking what is going on, not had a reply yet. I will give it a couple of days and if I hear nothing more I will cancel the order.

I needed to buy a single piece of shaped wire - costing under £1. I found I was charged £5.95 postage for a small letter sized item. The P&P charge was only shown after I authorised my payment. Then the delivery failed to arrive as the Courier they chose had tried to deliver to a completely different house. Neither Courier nor retailer tried to resolve the problem until I chased the late delivery. I'm still waiting for delivery 8 days later. Plus I've now spotted the £5.95 delivery charge was EX VAT - so in fact I've paid almost £8 for a £1 piece of wire. Not impressed as there was no need to use such an expensive courier service for this item, nor should a Consumer website be promoting costs ex VAT, that just hides the true costs.

A very good price and a very quick delivery, what more can you want. Ordered Philips 8w led GU10 with GU10 fittings that are recommended by them and 2gang dimmer switch. The best led spots on the market by a long way, that exceed 50watt halogen. In the end you get what you pay for. Worth the money in my opinion. Time will tell how long they last tho.

I ordered LED downlights and adapter plates, the delivery was really quick, far better than I expected. There was a minor problem with bezel but a phone call to them had a replacement in the post and it arrived next day. Judge a company by how they resolve problems and not just on price alone. Downlights Direct are really good and I would recommend them to others. I have no association with the company other than a very satisfied customer.

Order one day and here the next. Don't hold the job up by delays like other companies.

The website is doesn't have enough information regarding delivery and the staff are not that forthcoming with information or helpful, when I rang on the Monday to ask if the items I had ordered would be delivered for Friday so my electrician could install them I was told one of the items I had ordered and paid for was not in stock and they would not confirm if they could deliver it by Friday, the man I was speaking to 'couldn't understand what my issue was' and this was not the attitude I expected after purchasing £400 worth of products.

Overall I had a OK experience with Downlights Direct, giving me good information and advising which product would be best for me. However, they didn't actually have the item in stock, so they had to back order it. I'm still waiting, but it will take about 3 weeks to deliver if it comes when they say it will.

I needed to replace my halogen kitchen downlights which kept getting so hot they melted the wiring and casings. Bought some fire rated downlights from downlights direct - very easy to work out what i needed as web site gave very good explanations. Pricing not bad and delivery process very efficient.

Well laid out website. Straight, honest advice given on the phone - happy to check items were in stock before I ordered. Arrived promptly, well packed. I can recommend this company.

They kept me in touch with the delivery times, delivered exactly where and when I wanted. The electrician was really impressed with the quality of the lights I'd selected and couldn't believe the reasonable price. I'll definitely be using Downlights Direct again.
