They offer great quality, free range, organic, wild, ethical meals and don't advertise - they are found by word of mouth which is a huge testimony to them in itself. Honey's keep the prices reasonable considering the quality of the meats. The customer service (even if your are not a customer!) excels on every level. I can not rate them highly enough and thoroughly recommend.My dog loves their food 🐾

United Kingdom | 09 February 2024I have been using Honeys raw food since we switched our 7year old and 4mth old puppy to it around 5 months ago. A lot has happened since, in terms of the health of our dear puppy Stumpy who was diagnosed with Spinal Arracnoid Diverticulum and has undergone major spinal surgery. Quite apart from the fabulous quality food Honeys provide, reliably and on time, their customer support is outstanding (big thanks to Emma Tilstone). Their concern for Stumpy and their continual support has raised my spirits during such a distressing time. The good luck card and the get well treats sent as a post op present for Stumpy were greatly appreciated. I simply can't praise this company more and if I could give them 10 stars I would!

United Kingdom | 28 January 2024We love Honey's and most importantly so does our dog Brae. The ethos behind the company is amazing and the service is second to none. The things that's really blown us away is the free healthcare advice. Brae has had a few health issues and the vet nurses have spent time talking to us free of charge to work out what was best for his diet. They even recommended we take a 3 month break from Honey's - not many companies would do that. (You don't have to be a customer to get free help either!) I'm pleased to say Brae's back eating their fabulous raw complete now and enjoying every mouthful. Thanks team Honey's for all your help! Laura & Brae, North Yorkshire

United Kingdom | 21 January 2024I am a long term customer of Honeys and have always found the staff more than helpful and willing to go out of their way to support our needs, such as suggesting changes to our order as our dog has become older. The food is ethically sourced which is so important, and always delivered on time. Our vet said our elderly German Shepherd was in remarkably good health for his age, and whatever we were doing, we should continue. I was particularly impressed when they advised me we were giving our dog too much food for his age and weight and we should cut back. The vet concurred. Clearly, they have the welfare of the animals at heart and are not just in it for the money, otherwise they would not have suggested this. Finally the 'Alternative dog' magazine they produce is full of very useful information and always makes us laugh with its funny jokes and depictions of dogs commenting on humans.

United Kingdom | 28 December 2023I have been a raw feeder for around 50 years and must have tried virtually every brand but nothing compares to Honey's. I love the fact that it is all ethically sourced and you only have to look at it to see (and smell) the superior quality. I also love the variety - most companies seem to include chicken and/or green tripe in every recipe so to be able to feed a different meat every day is wonderful - and no smelly green tripe! Love that they don't charge extra for packaging the food in smaller amounts too as every other company does. So useful when you have a small breed and it is also very useful to have a lean range. Best of all, my dogs are in better condition than ever including my lively 15 year old. Customer service is excellent with a really interesting newsletter thrown in and no annoying emails about special offers. I've no plans to ever change from this company's food.

United Kingdom | 04 December 2023This further review is in relation to our very disappointing experience after being loyal Honeys customers for around 6 years, of Jonathan Self, the founder of Honeys, response to our completely legitimate complaint about them charging the wrong card and then blaming us for it. We did not and never have shouted at any Honey’s staff, this is a complete lie and we are disappointed than Jonathan needs to stoop as low as lying. What actually happened was that one of his staff, Helen, said it was our responsibility to check if they had charged the correct card or not. Clearly it is the responsibility of any competent company to check that they are operating under the terms that they have agreed with their clients. In this case, the previous staff member we spoke to (literally an hour or so earlier on the same day) read us the notes that THEY had made from the previous order, which categorically stated which card we had advised them to use, (she read us the correct last 4 digits) -which was different from the one charged. Therefore my husband reminded Helen politely of this admission on Honey’s part and stated to her that clearly it was not our responsibility to check their conduct when they had been clearly been instructed to do something and didn’t follow these clear instructions. When you get your car serviced, if the bolts on your brake callipers are loose you wouldn’t expect the garage to tell you that you should have checked them before driving would you? This isn’t the first time this has happened. On a previous occasion a few years ago when we moved house, we wrote clearly in an email which address to deliver to, Honeys delivered to our old address and again at first tried to blame us for it, and then asked us ‘could we go and pick it up’ - had it been close, we wouldn’t have minded, it was over 2 hrs drive away so we said sorry no - yet they still expected us to do this, this shows their attitude to them making errors - the customer, not them, needs to pick up the slack. Clearly, we are all human, we all make errors. In that case it was in writing, (they had to acknowledge which address we had asked them to deliver to in the email our new, not old one and only then did they agree with us) - in this case it was instructions given over the phone, hence why they seem to be not admitting their error; either way, this isn’t the first time this has happened. We still stayed loyal to them for quite a few years after that. It appears that Helen did not like my husband explaining to her that it wasn’t our fault, nor was it incumbent upon us to check that they charged the right card, in fact the fault was wholly theirs, as evidenced by their own notes on their own order that they read back to us verbatim! This appears to have then morphed into us ‘shouting’ which was not the case at all. Simply stating ones point of view clearly, that is different to what the staff member either believes or is instructed to say, is perfectly reasonable and it’s disappointing to find that the founder of Honeys disagrees with this. Jonathan, you say above you ‘make an immediate refund’ if you charge the wrong card. You have, to date, not offered this and it has not been received. My bank too when I called them to explain the situation stated that they too, were most puzzled that you had not offered us this. This item remains outstanding. We await your refund Jonathan. It IS illegal to charge a card without permission. Clearly honest mistakes are not illegal, but when notes have been taken and confirmed and then read back when the 2nd occasion was about to result in the same error, it becomes less than a mistake and more deliberate incompetence, or worse. Also, you took it upon yourself to save the card I used once just before our wedding. I did not ask you to do this. You did not ask me whether I wanted you to do this. Yet you did it anyway, and had you not done this, (which we suggest, asking, should be the default, given the current Data Protection and GDPR legislation rules in this country) you would never have had the option to charge the card I only wanted to use once. This is another glaring error that your company should look into to prevent it happening again for any other customers.

So far I’ve nothing but good things to say about Honey’s. As long as my pup keeps wolfing the food down, I will continue to give my custom.

Honey’s offers a really personable approach and so I feel like I am giving my dog exactly the food that he needs. I love the packaging which is very well thought out to take as less space as possible, and it’s so easy now to prepare the meals for my dog. The most important thing, my dog is feeling fantastic, he has more energy, his fur is shinier and looks healthier overall. Plus, he just loves the food! I have recommended this company to other friends who have dogs!

After getting in touch it's been a great process from start to finish and our Lurcher Roo is loving her new raw diet rather than accepting her old dried kibble. Understanding the benefits of the diet and seeing the difference in her appetite already is great, we've already noticed she has more energy and her coat is lovely. Thank you Honeys for the wonderful customer service, amazing products and all your patience and samples you sent out to get Roo on the road to a happy eater! United Kingdom | 07 September 2023I can’t express how wonderful Honey’s Real Dog Food have been in their support, quality and service for the past 12 years, during which my amazing dog Sydney has benefited from their raw food. Sydney still finishes every meal within a few minutes and, being a labradoodle, wolfs down the treats that I buy with her food. Sydney is nearly 15 now and, following advice from Honeys, her diet is leaner as she slows down to enjoy her dotage. Honeys offer unlimited free advice for dog owners considering going raw and I back this up by saying - “stop feeding your dog kibble and let it eat naturally”!

United Kingdom | 31 August 2023My 2 year old labrador has had Honeys raw dog food since she was a puppy. I do believe it is the best raw dog food you can buy. She loves the food and her coat is super shiny. No smelly breath or doggy smell which is amazing. Having fed 2 previous dogs on kibble (before I became educated to a dogs correct diet needs) the difference is really evident. The team are so helpful, knowledgeable and supportive and I am so glad that I found this company. I have on occasion tried a different company just for variety but quickly went back to Honeys as the quality is far superior. They also offer advice regarding DIY feeding if cost is an issue and I love their animal welfare stance and that they make regular visits to the producers. If anyone is thinking of switching to raw food make sure you check Honeys out first. Big thumbs up from Tina and Willow

Three of our original Honey’s fed dogs are sadly no longer with us, but all led happy and healthy lives well into their teens. Our current three dogs are thriving on Honey’s with hardly a day’s illness between them. The quality of the food is excellent as is the old-fashioned customer service that values all its two- and four-legged customers. Highly recommended.

Email contact where they check in to make sure everything is ok with the order etc. very good service! The food is of outstanding quality, my dog loves it! United Kingdom | 08 August 2023My elderly Springer Spaniel, Holly, lost over 7 kilos over a period of months last year due to Colitis - nothing helped clear this up - my vet told me that whatever I did would not increase her weight and muscle loss. I read about Honey's real dog food on an IBD and Colitis (Dogs) site on facebook and started Holly on it a few months ago - she has regained all her lost weight and her coat, which had become sparse and dry and bald in places, is back and really thick and glossy - I cannot praise Honey's read dog food and their team of advisers enough - Holly will be 15 in December and is back walking up to 40 minute walks and loving life again. Thank you SO much Honey's real dog food.

He loves his food and is shiny and full of energy at all times! Other visiting dogs love his food too! He has been so healthy we have never needed the vet aside from regular check ups. As a nutritional therapist (for humans) raw food for dogs makes so much sense. The team at Honey's are always really helpful and we love The Alternative Dog newsletter. So delighted to have found this lovely company.

United Kingdom | 28 April 2023We first used Honeys when we started our Westie on raw food and I have to admit we were lured away by cheaper prices elsewhere. However, we began to notice the quality was significantly worse, Maggie would sometimes not be interested in eating it and was occasionally sick so we came back to Honeys. The difference in the quality is huge, so noticeable in appearance, smell and texture. The dog absolutely loves it and has stopped being sick. We always get excellent customer service and to top it off I love their company values. Highly recommend.

The company's online ordering system works very well which makes my life so easy. All the staff are so helpful, responsive and professional. Super fast reliable delivery and I've never been let down. They source ingredients from a farm which has the highest welfare and environment standards in the country. I'm so lucky to have found the company to protect my dog from those bad, highly processed dog food. Lastly I love their quarterly newsletter which is so informative and educational, and such fun to read.

United Kingdom | 19 April 2023I have been buying Honeys raw dog food for many years now and have no intention of stopping any time soon. The company itself provide an excellent personal and very efficient service. They have almost become like friends. Nothing is ever too much trouble, the food is delivered on time ( despite my repeated short notice requests for our regular order to be delivered), the couriers they use are excellent, the service they give over the phone is always helpful and pleasant and as a company they are a joy to deal with. When we had a skin issue with our young golden retriever last year, I spoke at length with one of the team, a registered vet nurse, and she was extremely helpful making suggestions about diet but still alongside any veterinary treatment we were getting. She did then follow up with a phone call a while later to see how our boy was doing. Such is the excellent personal service Honeys give. As a company it is not just about selling a product. They are also very happy to give sound advice on raw feeding to anyone. This in itself goes a long way. We feed raw because we feel it is the best we can do for our dogs to give them as healthy a life as possible for as long as possible. Aside from all of this, the most important thing about Honeys, which is the reason we buy it from them, is that all the meat is responsibly and ethically farmed and animal welfare comes first. This is crucial as far as we are concerned. Thank you Honeys.

Info covers every aspect of raw feeding - the concept, the origins of the food itself, and even the make-up of & how to recycle the packaging - literally, top to bottom.. I read it inside & out before starting my dog on raw food & i learnt so much. I can't praise them highly enough - they were also so helpful over the phone, whether giving bespoke advice about feeding and dog-health or just with questions about orders. Sadly my dog passed away a few weeks ago, but she absolutely loved it.. she looked as if she couldn't believe her luck the first time I gave her raw food - just wish I'd started sooner. You can choose from ready prepared food pre-portioned (with choice of size, with or without added veg) to DIY ingredients like chicken wings, bones, mince, offal & much more.. pricing for the quality of the food is amazing as well.. Honeys have thought of everything and then some. Thanks so much for everything - I will 100% be back when another dog comes into our lives, and will always recommend Honeys to anyone considering raw feeding, no hesitation.
