Ben and workmate Lou visited us in Frenchay, Bristol, to remove the 36” diameter stump of our much regarded Tulip tree which had contracted a black fungus and had to be felled. We were extremely impressed with the care and attention shown in manoeuvring the stump grinder through our side entrance and along the garden path to the rear garden. Planks were used to bridge height differences between a flowerbed that had to be traversed and the lawn; particular care was shown to minimally disturb the plants. The actually stump grinding took about 1 hour, and then the site was cleared and left very tidy, albeit we have an amount of chipped bark and soil left to use as mulch. Ben was courteous and polite throughout, advising us of the sequence of events to be followed when grinding the stump. We were especially impressed with the timely manner he advised and updated us of his expected arrival time from a previous job. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Ben for reliable and efficient stump grinding.

I had 4 stumps left after removing 15 ft conifers and arranged for Stumpbusters to visit , informing them that although the stumps were in open grassland the access was only 30'' at the narrowest point - through a garage and down the side of a greenhouse - a bit of a challenge even for the small machine! I'm delighted that Liam managed it even though I was doubtful his grinder would ever negotiate the obstacle course but my garden is stump-free and was left very tidy I would definitely recommend Stumpbusters for efficiency and price!

Top job. Cleaned the area after the work was completed. Access was a little tight so he removed our gate and put it back after the work was done. Highly recommend them and definitely would use them again.

Alan gave careful consideration to an awkward job, involving removing stumps within a tight area between a wooden fence and low brick retaining wall. He really knew his stuff and it made me realise the difference between dedicated stump grinding firms and generic garden/tree clearance firms. I'd previously used the latter and they were unable to complete the work close to a wall because they did not have the range of equipment carried by Alan. Highly recommended and would be pleased to use again.

We were let down at the very last minute by another company & phoned Stumpbusters on the off chance they could do the job. The lady who answered the phone was incredibly helpful & after making a few calls arranged to have the job done later the same day.
