Really friendly service and good advice Buying Japanese knives can be quite a daunting task, especially for those unfamiliar with the market and which knives were high-quality. I was looking for something that is better than the knives you see at supermarkets and speciality stores being branded as 'Japanese'. Although many of these products are indeed made in Japan they do not match the quality of those that JKC offers. (I assume they import directly from Japan and hence get higher-quality stuff that is also sold on the Japanese domestic market, rather than getting the worse-quality stock which is sold at export for a premium.) Anyway, the people at JKC are lovely and also apparently do one free sharpening (of which I have not yet taken advantage). A great experience overall!
