The only place to get a good knife, and to get your knives sharpened. They allow you test out the knives on tomatoes to get a sense of the feel which is so important. It is my happy place. Prince at the Greek Street branch was so kind to sharpen my chef’s knife while I waited!

When I started looking for quality knives I was told to look into Japanese blades. I cant afford their top of the range knives but I still wanted to buy into the hype. I bought the New Tsuchime Gift Set. The box of knives arrived on time. Unfortunately the knives are not sharp enough for me. The small utility knife seemed to have lost its sharpness after one use (I tried it on a lemon). Now I have to look for a knife sharpener for my basic knife set. It may cost me £50. I bought 2x sets now am embarrassed to gift my brother one set. Edit on 12th June: After my embarassing rant, Rina got in touch with me to understand the issue. After explaining the experience I had with the knives they offered to get our knives replaced. We took the knives to the Baker street store and experienced a good customer service. Thank you JKC for caring .. ps: i have added more stars to this review.

I stopped by the Kensington store to pick up an entry-level knife and combo sharpening stone. They had something for every budget there. If I wasn’t just passing through I could see me being a frequent visitor with an empty wallet, and a large knife collection.

Had the best experience from the in store service from a member named Prince. Explained the details and showcased more options, tailored my concerns and assisted me to pick a best fit. Got my knife engraved by him and the engraving looks fabulous. Overall exceptional experience :)

Great staff, expert advise to choose the right product , no hard selling, and free personalised engraving .. Overall great experience.
