United Kingdom | 10 December 2024Seeing as you keep promoting me for a review… Took ages for delivery, I had to enquire if it had been dispatched. Once they replied they said due to not having one of my multiple items in stock they had not dispatched it. I asked them in that case to cancel my order as I’d ordered it well in advance for an event and it was now not going to be there in time. They proceeded to ignore this request, even though this item was still not dispatched and sent me the items anyway. The items were fine but I could not use them for my event. Won’t be using them again though.

United Kingdom | 10 December 2024Extremely disappointing shopping experience! On November 22nd, I purchased a Tojiro knife at the Baker Street store, but I still haven’t received it. November 22nd was supposed to be a very special day—it was my birthday. I had been wanting a new knife for a long time. Trusting your company, my wife brought me to the Japanese Knife Company, and I was thrilled to get such a beautiful and expensive knife. We purchased the Tojiro knife, but since we planned to visit Winter Wonderland after shopping, we couldn’t carry the knife with us. So, we arranged for the store staff to hold the knife over the weekend. If we didn’t pick it up by then, the staff would mail it to us on Monday. However, I didn’t receive any notification until Wednesday that the knife was being shipped. The postcode we entered was E14 9TA, which I personally confirmed at the time. But DPD’s system showed the delivery address as E14 0TA. I have no idea why this happened. I called the online team multiple times to confirm the correct postcode, but it was still wrong. Is there an issue with the number 9 on the Japanese Knife Company’s keyboard? On Friday, the delivery failed due to the incorrect postcode. I immediately corrected the postcode, and DPD updated the status, showing delivery would happen on Monday. However, no delivery was made on Monday, and the package was returned directly to the Japanese Knife Company. No one called me, nor was any effort made to rearrange the delivery. I contacted customer service again, and they assured me they would reschedule the delivery. But once again, the postcode was wrong—it was still E14 0TA. I updated the address again, and DPD’s system showed that delivery was scheduled for today (December 9th). But as of now, no one has delivered the package, nor has anyone contacted me. At this point, I just want a refund. However, the staff told me that they can’t process a refund unless the knife has been received. Can someone please tell me what I’m supposed to do? I’m beginning to wonder if I will ever receive this knife in my lifetime!
