United States | 11 February 2025Bought my Slimbook Executive this wall and was very satisfied with it. The I spilled a very large cup of coffee on it and it wouldn't turn on. I was able to disassemble the laptop and identify the damage to the motherboard and the battery connector. I am located in the US and the shipping in for repairs would have been very expensive. The Slimbook support team quickly responded to my ticket, agreed from the pictures on the source of the damage and suggested to send a replacement motherboard and battery to save on the shipping. After replacing the parts, the laptop is working again. The support team was responsive and very reasonable. I couldn't ask for a better service!

France | 10 February 2025I bought a Slimbook Excalibur with Debian installed, and I wouldn't recommend it. I wanted to reinstall Debian straight away for multiple reasons, and that proved to be a hassle: it took me almost 10 days to get it up and running. I find that very strange for a laptop which is supposed to be Linux-friendly by design, because I've installed various Linux distributions on other laptops and I don't recall ever getting into such trouble. But the worst is that after reinstalling Debian, I got a lot of serious bugs (e.g. external monitor constantly blinking) which I never encountered on other laptops. So in the end I decided to return the laptop. The process for doing so is far from being straightforward, you have to fill in the same information multiple times, and print a document (some other brands make you print a document but that's the only thing you have to do, and that's because they pay for shipping so you have to print the shipping label). All in all I lost 50 euros (36 euros of return shipping + around 15 euros which they deducted from the refund, I'm not sure why). So I had a pretty bad experience, but I'm still rating Slimbook 2 stars to give them the benefit of the doubt, because they seem to act in good faith (though such a complicated return process makes me think it might have been done on purpose).

France | 20 January 2025L'ordinateur est arrivé avec 1 pixel mort et deux touches du clavier mal insérée. La touche "mode avion" ne fonctionne pas sous Ubuntu/Gnome ou Linux Mint, ni même sur leur propre OS (Slimbook OS), mais parfaitement sur les environnements Fedora/KDE par exemple (Ils font la promo de laptop vendu avec KDE pré-installé en ce moment...). J'ai écris mon propre patch, comme d'habitude, et que je dois maintenir à jour, pour faire fonctionner la touche "avion" du coup. C'est précisément pour ne PAS faire cela que j'ai acheté un ordinateur avec le "support" de Linux de base... Ah, le portable (Executive 14), consomme 40 watts sur batterie, en mode silencieux et sans le mode silencieux. C'est un problème, car du coup ça chauffe. Mais si on le branche sur le secteur, avec chargeur officiel ou USB-C, en mode silencieux, il est possible de travailler avec cet ultra portable sur les genoux... Car il ne consommera que 15 watts. Cela fait 6 mois qu'ils m'ont dit qu'ils travaillaient sur un patch à ce propos... Bref, un gros SCAM. Je déteste cet ordinateur, et Slimbook.

Spain | 20 January 2025Hace 8 meses compré un ordenador y hace una mes apareció con un defecto en la pantalla. Me puse en contacto con el Servicio Técnico de Slimbook, que me organizaron la recogida del ordenador por la empresa UPS. Yo dejé el ordenador en una taquilla de PUDO, subcontratada por la empresa UPS para recoger los paquetes, y debido a la incompetencia de UPS, el ordenador estuvo perdido más de 15 días, sin forma de localizarlo a través del tracking. UPS negaba que yo hubiera dejado el ordenador en la taquilla, pero Slimbook siempre intentaron interceder por mi frente a UPS y me transmitieron la tranquilidad en todo momento de que si el ordenador no aparecía, Slimbook buscaría una solución, ya que ellos habían organizado el transporte. Milagrosamente el ordenador apareció hace 4 días en Slimbook transportado por UPS y en cuanto llegó, lo arreglaron y al día siguiente ya lo tenía perfecto en Zaragoza. Quiero agradecer al equipo de Slimbook la atención recibida y recomendar a esta empresa por su servicio y calidad en los ordenadores que venden.

I couldn't be happier. Four years later my laptop works just fine, despite using it daily at work in computationally expensive tasks. The day I need to update my computer I'll probably buy another Slimbook.

France | 27 November 2024Great customer service I had a problem with the battery, customer service was very reactive and helpful, with detailed answers and good video tutorials. I was able to change the battery myself easily, thanks to the support and also to the fact that the computers are thought to be opened and fiddle with easily.

Cyprus | 23 November 2024First of all, you need to understand what you are getting into when you are purchasing Clevo-made laptops: the quality is not going to be on par with the top brands but in exchange you get: - Customizability + repairability - Extra options like Linux out of the box. The purchasing process was great, the box was well package and I understood exactly what is the status of the order. Slimbook went an extra mile providing some extra software to use their devices on Linux. Quality is hit-and-miss but everything is well-documented and not something that you expect with a small company. They are very responsive on their forums as well. Executive is a good laptop - overall very satisfied, some regular shortcomings of Clevo are there: - keyboard travel does not feel as nice as laptops with the red dot, touchpad looks like the one on laptops with apple logo but does not feel as nice. They are still very usable - build quality does not feel like it can take a lot of abuse but it's good enough for everyday use and it's very light, pleasant to hold. That said, I don't think that any shortcomings of the laptop should take from the experience with the company which has been great!

After sending them the laptop, they repaired the device without any costs! Quick and high quality responses are normal if you need some assistance with your device. If you need a reliable and powerful Laptop with up-to-date hardware at reasonable costs, then you should definitely check out their products! Especially if you are an Open-source and Linux enthusiast.

Lo peor es que conozco a bastante gente que le ha pasado lo mismo con diferentes modelos de la marca. Desgraciadamente tendré que optar por marcas conocidas e instalar yo Linux para que me dure más que la garantía.. Es una pena que una empresa española y con Linux sea tan poco fiable y no le den la importancia que deberían al postventa.

Recently the power supply failed and support got a new one out to me under warranty very quickly
