United States | 16 July 2019I purchased a new rod from them via Amazon. It shipped directly from TackleDirect. When I received the package the box it came in was surprisingly very sturdy. However, both the box and the rod were snapped in half. I know this wasn't their fault, but I tried emailing them and sent pictures and have never received a response. I tried calling them on multiple occasions and never got through or got a callback. The first time I was on hold for 45 minutes when I decided to opt for the option to receive a callback when the next rep was available and not lose my spot......that was at noon. I never got a callback. I tried calling again and chose the place an order option to see if that might speed it up. waited for 30 minutes before opting to get a callback..... never got a callback. Finally contacted Amazon to see if they could help figure this out, and they were very helpful. But still, have not gotten a callback. It has been 5 days now. Don't waste your time or money with this company. If you have an issue, you will be screwed.

United States | 15 July 2019I tried tackle direct for the first time. I ordered two rods, two reels and a spool of line. I paid for express shipping. I received the line and reels on time. The rods were not shipped even though the site said they were in stock. So I was ok with that. However, the problem I had is it took six weeks to get my rods. I made several calls and was told still not in stock. Luckily I was looking on web site and saw they had ten in stock and made a call wondering why I hadn’t received an email saying they had been shipped. If I hadn’t been looking online I wouldn’t have received my back order. I did receive a refund on shipping but back ordered items should be shipped before stocking up.

United States | 15 July 2019I placed my order on July 4th; found that the address was duplicated on the invoice; placed a phone call to correct the double address. Customer service said ok no problem they will fix; received 1 of the 3 items but the item delivered was the wrong color. Left 3 voice mails with customer service with my phone number to call me back due to high call volume...never did get a call back. After a 4th time and 20 minutes I finally received a customer service person; it took them 26 minutes to setup a RMA with 5 different times putting me on hold to figure out how to do it. The item will not be shipped out until my item is returned; I explained to the customer service can they just charge me for the correct color item now and just give me a credit when the wrong color one returns...he said no and gave me the excuse the number of years that he has worked there they have never done that. Unfortunately i will not get the goods in time for my fishing trip. Next time I will just order from amazon.
