This welding hood has got to be the biggest waste of time I have ever invested in. In the beginning I was giving the company all of the benefits of any doubts. After all, I sunk a whole week's paycheck into this thing. The pros are that this hood has lightest shade in the world when the hood is not activated. It lets you see very well to start your arcs. The warranty team is very responsive. The cons massively outweigh the pros. - they give you a cheap drawstring bag to keep the hood in. I have scratched up so many lens just by leaving it in the bag - I've had to replace the hood three times already. I was told that I was pushing the protective plastic cover on to the hood too hard so it was cracking the auto dark lens down the middle. I get maybe once, but three times? Every time it cracked was after a major temperature shift. - the replacement protective plastic covers themselves don't ship to you protected on both sides! There's a film on only one side, guaranteeing that I'll have the entire pack Scratched by the time it gets to me. - The headband is so overengineered and flimsy that I can't even move the hood up and down without the hood falling off pegs that hold it to the headband. THEY HAVE PUSH PEGS TOO ATTACH IT TO THE HEADBAND THAT KEEP POPPING OUT!!! What can they do to improve? - When people order replacement plastic cover lens, send them with protective films on both sides instead of one. -Re-engineer the headband to attach more securely to the hood. -Since they're having problems with the lens cracking, reinforce the lens and STOP BLAMING IT ON THE CUSTOMER!! -at least offer a sturdier bag than the POS they give with the hood.
