My dad had multiple pre-existing conditions and INF was amongst the very few that provided solid preexisting coverage. The insurance was bit expensive, however, I wanted to make sure that he was covered during his stay. In addition, i had to also extend his coverage as we asked him to stay with us for 3 more weeks and it was quick with the extension, we need to pay the daily rates, that I find reasonable

United States | 08 April 2023[Updated the review on 4/16] This review is for INF Elite Plus plan and INF's claim process. The premium for this plan is much higher (I paid close to $2500 for 3 month of plan). The plan promises to cover existing conditions. There were positives and negatives: Negatives: 1. Changes & Refund - None: They refuse to refund money if you need to cancel the plan early and change to a cheaper plan. NO EXCEPTIONS - I tried asking multiple times politely and explaining my situation, but failed. Considering this plan is expensive, please make sure you are ok with this policy. 2. Existing condition coverage - Mixed Value: The premium is high due to pre-existing condition coverage, however you may find benefit to be limited due to $1500 PER INSTANCE deductible and $25K upper cap on coverage. IMO, The benefit you get (in contrast with the plan cost) is limited for both minor and major issues. So in retrospect, I wouldn’t consider this plan in future. There are other alternatives (such as Covered California in California at higher cost) or getting something that doesn't cover pre-existing condition for 1/10th of the cost. 3. Unprofessional response to negative feedback: I provided detailed explanations of why my review is accurate and behavior is ethical. They tried to discredit my review with false accusations without providing any explanations even after I questioned them multiple times over email. Neutral: 1. Claim process - be proactive: Customers need to be proactive checking status of the claims and following up on everything promptly - but that’s probably expected when dealing with insurance. The review process also can take 1+ months for what its worth. Positives: 1. Claim pay out and processing claims on day 1 of getting insurance: I filed 2 types of claims, I am eventually expecting to get some money back after the plan deductibles. They also handled my mom's incidents that happened on day 1 of signing up for the insurance which not many insurance do. 2. RobinAssist: RobinAssist provide customer service and are prompt. They set proper expectations and passed information to other teams at INF such as claim adjuster. Sometimes it added to delays because of additional layer, still it was nice to get prompt response from RobinAssist team. 3. Claim Adjuster: The claim adjuster team was reasonable to work with. They have their own timeline for responding to documents etc, but overall they were reasonable to work with.
