Still not arrived

I called up Bents, as I live in the South East, but I ordered a Pre-lit Christmas Tree from Bents back in 2016. My adapter has blown the fuse and all the lights didn't work just before Christmas. I was getting a fair bit of aggro from the Wife and Children. As the tree was 7 years old the adapter had changed and I couldn't source one online. Bents couldn't of been more helpful. Dave in the Tree department and Sam who was the point of contact. Without me even asking they couriered 2 x adapters to me which arrived the next day and now I have lights on my tree! They didn't charge me a thing. This is how you do customer service! Thank you Bents, Dave and Sam!

Absolutely fantastic customer service. I purchased a pre lit Christmas tree a couple of years ago and this year the lights blew. I rang Bents and the gentleman immediately knew what the problem was. I received a new transformer two days later. Fantastic after care service.

Lovely staff and good food excellent

Went to Bents to see the stunning Christmas displays. It was an evening after work, so decided to eat, as I have done in the restuarant several times before. What a bad decision that was.! I was told to order my hot food at the till point. A young lad was serving at the till and unfortunately got the order completely wrong. After re-ordering, the food, we were told the Mediterranean pasta bake was no longer available, being vegetarian they offered macaroni cheese. The food came, chips were cold, the mash potato for the kids meal was lumpy and looked unappetising. When the macaroni cheese arrived it was very sub-standard for £15. The side vegetables were cold so we asked for them to be re-heated. The chips were re-placed too only to come back as what I can only describe as triple fried chips.! We were so hungry and ate what we could. So so disappointed. Come on Bents, you can’t charge food prices like that and serve food of poor quality. I will visit again minus the visit to the restuarant.!

Easy to order on line and follow order through. Able to track delivery and it arrived when stated. Pleased with goods ordered.

The selection of anything in Bents is far superior than anywhere else in the region. The staff are brilliant and always courteous and helpful.

So called in today with two young children and went to order the gouzons with chips £6.99. Told not today with no explanation but the cynical side tells me £9.99 for fish and chips is more money for them. Why no children’s portions? Cannot expect to share. So no sale today prefer to take them to McDonald’s 😡😡😡

The Tapas bar and team are worth a visit alone

Decided to try Bents foodhall again after a 3 year break. Last time we had a cracked teapot and dirty cups. The whole experience was again a poor one! This time we ordered breakfasts. The food when it arrived ranged from cold to very cold. The toast and hash browns were tough as old boots, just horrible! I wish I'd have had the will to complain. I will however, again, vote with my feet and leave the place off my itinerary in future.

I have been attending Bents for around 20yrs with my family and it is sad to see the state it is in today. This is NOT a place to relax anymore, it is NOT a garden centre anymore and it is NOT a pleasant environment to be in. Even long serving staff comment of the clientele the theme park style facility attracts. Classless is the only word to summarise this establishment now. They have got THAT greedy and in doing so, lost ALL class, taste, magic and style. Your visit stress begins in the car park and the rude and overly aggressive customers lacking any manners or patience. Then you enter. What used to be blissful and dreamy is now over priced cheap tat. All magic and story telling has been lost. The shop floor is an ant farm of rude, obnoxious and highly arrogant people. Shuffling you along, belching in your face, swearing, pushing on another and all with phones out for the social media ‘look at me’. IT IS CHAOS! I began to feel faint and needed sugar from the stress of so many people, so a kind staff member took my basket to reserve and pointed me to the cafe. . . Here lies another issue… MANIC is not a strong enough word. Once upon a time you communicated with the staff, were asked about what you wanted on your plate (esp for the prices!!) and it was a delightful experience… I wasn’t asked about allergies, portion size or preference. I was simply shuffled along like sardines in a can and handed a plate piled like a pyramid with all sorts on. Americanised portions! This Place Is Horrific

Happy to do my usual visit to Bents whilst visiting my elderly mother, who so looks forward to our afternoon together having lunch and later coffee and cake in the store, on this occasion I also had my two daughters with me, parking great wheel chair out and off we go. As usual Xmas decorations wonderful, staff excellent all went well until we sat down for lunch, oh dear could only find a table in the children’s section but no worries, until we noticed the tables full of dirty dishes and floors covered in food and to make matters worse our food was cold and mum’s quiche a sloppy mess so disappointing especially as we had originally had booked one of globes but the food in the Xmas fayre was very limited and globes freezing so decided to go to the restaurant instead oh dear Bents not your usual high standards
