Han and the team never miss. They have created the best jeans but it goes further than that. They have added ethics and thought into their product. You will find a fit that you like, that’s a given, but the history of jeans and work wear is always honoured and respected. The material is thoughtfully sourced from Japan or Turkey (offering different price points) and they come unfinished in the shop so you can actually have them fitted for you and see the machine in action. Free repairs for life should prove how much BLA believe in their product. I have three pairs, all different and since I found them my dad, mum and brother have all bought pairs and they are used daily and hard. Go and visit. You won’t regret it and I’d wager you’ll leave with a pair of jeans.

Wonderful jeans (E5, Kurabo), they are the best crafted jeans I have ever had. The first pair I received were way too large, but with the help of the BLA staff we found the right size. The issue was probably due to the higher rise of BLA jeans compared to high street brands.

Brilliantly knowledgeable and so customer focused! It’s like being fitted for a bespoke suit. From selecting the weight and style of the denim to the cut and fit was wonderful. The advice given was second to none and at no point did you feel pushed to choose a particular style. I was so happy with my moss green selvedge denim that I had another pair made! You can buy a pair of selvedge from other shops, but for not much more you can get them made by BLA to your exact fittings and style, not to mention personal customisation too!

I purchased a pair of Black Horse Ateliers jeans for my son for Christmas. These are the only jeans my son wears and he likes them so much he put them on his Christmas list. The service I received was outstanding. They double checked the custom length I requested, which saved me from making a mistake on my order, and they were super fast with the hemming and the shipping.
