I received excellent service from the staff at Coal Drops Yard and I am extremely happy with the pair of jeans I bought. They shortened and hemned it on the spot (took about 15 min) and offered tea while I waited. The only other comment I have, is that you must try the jeans on. Even the same size and style, differs in fit between fabrics and zipper/buttons. So, if you want to buy two, try them both on first.

I’m 59-years-old and I’ve always worn jeans. My early jeans, growing up, would have been selvedge, though in those days they were just called jeans. In recent years I’ve tried some Levi’s selvedge (okay) and Lee selvedge (very good). My new Blackhorse Lane NW1’s are easily the best jeans I’ve ever owned. Quality and cut are superb and the denim has a lovely weight to it. I bought them online and the response to my queries was faultless. As I said, I’m 59 and I’m pretty sure they’ll see me out. Steve
