Ireland | 13 December 2020HFH Refuting Brad Kibel review - Brad Kibel is not a customer of Home from Home. We have no record of him enquring or making a booking with us. Furthermore, we do not send or accept vouchers for payment. We bank in London and have no dealings with 1532 Craddock Avenue. There is no such address in the U.K or anywhere outside of Texas, U.S.A, which means that Mr. Kibel is referring to another company. Safes are not provided in our properties. If they were, we would certainly not advise a guest to store 120000+ worth of jewelery. Our customers will typically come to London to sightsee for between 7 to 10 days and would not carry such items with them. HFH would never access properties without guest consent, even our owners will always ask for permission. We would now appreciate that Mr. Brad Kibel removes his disturbing review of our company of 30 years, as he has no business writing reviews about a company he quite clearly knows nothing about. Thank you. Team Home from Home -

United Kingdom | 16 November 2020Four days before a booking I contacted them to confirm it was going ahead and they confirmed it was. However, one day before the booking they told me the booking was cancelled. Under my T& Cs, I should have recived the full booking fee due to the late cancellation. When I tried to contact them to have the funds paid out, I recieved no reply whatsoever. I have been swindled out of over £1K from them which I know they kept and did not refund the customer or myself. The worst part, they completely stone- walled me to avoid paying paying me.Please, please avoid!! ****Update on 7th March 2024*** So 4 years after my review, this company has the audacity to suggest I have the wrong company after they have tried to reinvent themselves as a vacation company. Unlucky for them, I have emails and statements from them which I will readily provide to Trustpilot as proof that I was scammed by this company. Additionally, I know it's the same company as the phone number on your emails signatures is the same as the `different' company you are claiming to be.

United States | 14 October 2020We have had nothing but wonderful service and flats that have been exactly as described for over six years in renting places in London. They have arranged for travel to and from the Heathrow Express which has been particularly useful.

New Zealand | 09 September 2020we sent an email on 24 March cancelling our booking for 1-8 August for the Newton Street, Covent Gardens property explaining that we were unable to travel from New Zealand due to Covid 19 restrictions. In the circumstances we expected that some consideration would be given to a portion of the deposit being refunded. We were advised that if the property was subsequently re-let during that period a refund would be made. However, no attempt was made by Home from Home to remove our booking on the website so it was impossible for the property to be re-let!!

Australia | 03 September 2020Seeing that the company is in liquidation this request for a review is an insult.

United Kingdom | 14 July 2020Would give 0 stars if possible. Cancelled due to owner deciding cottage not available. Converted my payment to a voucher with no option of refund. Couldn’t get through by email or phone to discuss (on hold for 40 mins at one point!) Ended up seeking refund via credit card. A very unpleasant experience.

United States | 30 June 2020We have deposits with Home From Home for two upcoming trips to London. For the last five weeks I have tried to contact them by phone, email and via their own website messaging No response. Now I have received a letter from a UK Liquidation Advisory firm stating that HFH are in liquidation and there are no funds remaining. No refund. Consider how incredibly negligent and immoral it is for HFH to not inform their clients, who may very well travel & find out upon arrival that they have no rental?

United States | 27 May 2020When you rent a flat in London you need an agent who really manages the situation. For example, I rented a flat through Home From Home for the month of April 2020, and then the Coronavirus Pandemic hit. HfH promptly gave me a credit for what I had paid to rent the flat in April which I can use in the future to rent another flat when I will again be able to travel.

United States | 01 April 2020I rented a Holborn apartment in March 2020, and everything was fine and went smoothly. However, when I returned home to the USA, HomeFromHome refused to return my security deposit of GBP 200. Unfortunately, the coronavirus issue hit Europe and the USA just as I returned home. A week later, I emailed everyone at HomeFromHome, asking to refund my deposit. I received only auto-response emails, telling me that the coronavirus issue had shut down their offices. I tried calling them directly, and they did not answer their phones. I find it hard to believe that there wasn't one person in the company who could refund my security deposit from their home office. Nobody emailed me back, offering a timeline of when they might refund my deposit. So I called my credit card company, who opened a dispute with HomeFromHome. I will let them fight it out.

United States | 24 March 2020All in all, we really enjoyed the flat although there were a number of little things that could have improved our stay. Hard to believe but there was no teapot. The two chairs in the living room are fraying badly and need to be replaced. There also appears to be some water damage in one of the living room ceiling’s corners. And the hallway leading up to the flat has timed lighting that doesn’t stay on long enough. That being said, the flat was very clean and comfortable. We loved the location in a posh neighborhood but it was a healthy walk to Sloan Square tube station. We used the buses on King’s Road to shorten the walk. There was plenty of hot water and we enjoyed the view of the Thames at night. In short, we would probably stay there again but might look for something a little closer to Sloane Square. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!

United States | 20 March 2020I had used HFH 10 years ago and just used them again in late Jan early Feb. I loved our flat most recently on Rosemoor. My daughter and I stayed there for 2 weeks and it was perfect. I have no complaints

United States | 19 March 2020This was a really 'no fuss' way to rent an apartment for a London stay. The staff were very accessible to discuss different options; Carlos who gave us access to the flat was prompt, efficient and friendly. The flat itself was clean, amazingly quiet, and well presented (and nicer than it appeared in photos!) The only slight difficulty was in deciding from the website which property to choose in the absence of information like - square footage or dimensions of rooms, layout plan.. I think you could give a few more details. But all in all, I will be looking at Home from Home first next time we spend time in London.

United Kingdom | 20 February 2020What a brilliant company to book with. We have never used them before but I know we will now use them every time we come back to London. The booking process was easy and Katie was super helpful. The home was spotless and we can’t thank Home from Home enough.
