Excellent staff and service

Rachel and her team are always reliable helpful and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.

This was our first time using a solicitor so I do not know how others perform but we did not feel that Lyon’s Bowe were that responsive with their communication and twice asked for extra money that was no on our invoice, one the weekend before moving which caused extra panic.

The local office in Keynsham was very helpful and friendly, my solicitor Stephanie Allen was also very professional and help me to get my Devorce

I have updated my slightly negative review as I was mixing up Lyons Bowe with Howells in Cardiff who are handling a real estate transaction (very slowly) at the same time. We have no problems with Lyons Bowe, they handled my late mother's probate without any major concerns. If only the government was a little more efficient, as they always cause holdups in everything!

This company was an absolute game changer for conveyancing. I have bought and sold several times, and every time has been so stressful to the point I was in dispute with my last solicitor as they underpaid the balance on my mortgage. Lyons Bowe took the stress out of everything! The app is fantastic, meaning you can upload (almost) all documents apart from the contracts and form fill online. Molly and Neel were amazing to deal with, they make a point of contacting you every week, even if there is no update, to check in. If something needs doing you are prompted by the app and if you miss it they are on the phone ensuring it's picked up quickly. Makes a nice change to be chased by your solicitor rather than endlessly chasing them! Couldn't recommend them more.

We couldn’t be more impressed with the service we received. Emails were replied to quickly, a weekly phone call check-in, and all queries chased up. The app was also fantastic for keeping updated!

Avoid this solicitors at all costs. I wish we had taken more time in reading the reviews but they were recommended to us by our mortgage broker (which is no longer using them as a recommendation after our house purchase). Their lack of attention to detail on legal documents and paperwork is alarming, mistake after mistake was made on our case, as mentioned on other reviews you could only get through to them via email and had to be chased to speak over the phone. Once our purchase finally went through and the inconsistencies and errors were brought to light, they’re impossible to get hold of. We had problem after problem with our purchase and a member of staff named ‘Cassandra’ told my husband that the matter would be dealt with later as she was “out of office and going to Ireland the day after” - incredibly unprofessional. We signed legal contracts with our house price on, but when we received the legal paperwork back on completion, the house price was wrong from what we had signed. We spoke to a member of staff, a manager called Gemma Monday who would be dealing and investigating it, who quite frankly was one of the most patronising, rude, unhelpful members of staff we’ve spoken to across the company. Her lack of empathy on the situation was startling and we’re still awaiting her to “update us” and return our call over a month later, after being chased countless times. The other reviews here speak volumes, the purchase of our first ever house has been spoiled by this incompetent company. DO NOT USE.

I found Lyons Bowe customer service /communication to be almost non existent. I was passed from person to person in their system, found it almost impossible to speak to anyone as regards my sale, mistake after mistake was made by them which I had to correct including mistakes with their figures. Felt that they were more interested in their money than giving any service. Awful experience !!!

Lyons Bowe were not our Solicitor, thank God, but solicitor for the vendors of our purchase. They are the most unresponsive Solicitors who drove everyone below them in our chain mad. At one point our solicitor spent 3 weeks leaving messages and sending emails but got no response. In frustration we phoned them and left messages saying please respond to our solicitor ASAP on several occasions as did our purchase estate agents! On exchange day they emailed our Solicitor at 8.45am to say they were ready to go today and then by 3.30pm no response from them despite repeated chasing. They were the ones holding everything up and their excuse oh we've been busy!! They were chased from all directions as they close at 5pm and everyone was waiting to confirm removals etc for a date 1 week away. On completion day they received our money before 12pm. The agents chased them at 1.30pm because they had heard nothing to be told the conveyancer had gone to lunch now!! If you want smooth conveyancing I would avoid this firm like the plague!!! They do not respond even to other solicitors. Even if there is a hold up its just common curtesy to respond to say so, not leave people hanging for weeks. I'm sure they will post some lame excuse in response but there is no excuse in this case.

It was our first time buying a property and our estate agent (Penny @ Ewe Move) recommended Lyons Bowe to us. Upon first glance at online reviews we were a little hesitant as there few a few negative reviews on here however we trusted Penny and went ahead with them and we are SO happy that we did! They have been absolutely fantastic from start to finish. You get to download an app which keeps you updated on the progress of the sale which I think is great. You do end up dealing with multiple solicitors as it gets passed through the different stages and appreciate some people may prefer just one solicitor throughout to deal with the whole process, however I thought this actually worked really well! Every time it was passed onto someone else we would receive a welcome phone call & email introducing themselves, and they were all so lovely. Unfortunately our process wasn't very smooth sailing due to a lot of issues with our Vendor's solicitors which caused us to miss our first planned completion date, however Lyons Bowe were brilliant and kept us constantly updated! Every solicitor we dealt with throughout our process were fab however I must give a special mention to Beth Ingham who is part of the exchange/completions team! Beth has been absolutely fantastic throughout and we could not fault her at all! :) She was always quick to respond to us via phone/email, very professional and always very warming. A big thank you to Lyon's Bowe for making our house buying process a little less scary! Hopefully anyone hesitant to go through Lyons Bowe like we were see this review and it helps to make their decision :)
