Although everything went through relatively smoothly, I was disappointed that hardly anything happens in the Keynsham office. I thought the whole procedure would be carried out there and if I had any questions there would be someone I could speak to face to face. This was not the case. Yes there were pleasant enough staff there, but they are basically clerical staff who take/pass on messages. We chose this solicitor thinking it was a local office with staff based there for the whole buying/selling process. If this is what you want, choose somewhere else

Having moved on my own I found it quite a daunting process. However, the team working on my conveyancing made it easy and straightforward. Simone and Josie were amazing. My questions were answered almost instantly. Throughout, all queries and documents were presented to me in a clear easy to follow manner. Overall I would highly recommend Lyons Bowe.

The app is a gimmick - doesn't work - but it still replaces direct communication which at times wasn't good. But they were efficient and friendly and good value for money so can't complain.

The app was really helpful, it managed my expectations on timelines, as did the documentation and guides that they provided, as a first time buyer it was great. From offer to completion we were done in 3 months, however, there was no chain so that helped.

Speedy and professional

I contacted Lyons Bowe Solicitors for a property purchase as a first time buyer with LISA deposits. After onboarding, my file was moved from team to team as progress was being made, which some people might find unusual, but the transition was seamless on my end and every single team did a stellar job. Everybody was very professional, extremely prompt with replies and helped facilitate a completion in 5 weeks from initial contact. From Elijah Phibben (onboarding) to Claire Ford (searches) and Beth Ingham, Tietia Shotton, Zoe Spencer (exchange and completion), every single one was a pleasure to work with. The app they provide is very handy in viewing file information, a to-do list for the client and keeping up with progress. I will gladly recommend them going forward.

We chose a local firm to write mirror Wills and LPAs. Unfortunately these different documents are dealt with by different offices within the company, and after the initial agreement to proceed with our business, there was poor coordination of the work. The work was conducted by various legal assistants etc, and we had no direct dealings with a qualified solicitor. Given the number of low-cost options for these processes that are offered by organisations other than solicitors’ offices, this was very disappointing. The initial contact with the New Enquiries Executive, and the 1-on-1 phone discussion on the details of our wishes for Wills and LPAs, were good. Other aspects were unsatisfactory: some borderline-rude email communications; documents not sent, or the wrong ones sent on multiple occasions. I found the Lyons Bowe App to be useless.
