United Kingdom | 20 June 2017I see that on Trustpilot that most reviews of Tool-net are OK, but I can only assume that the majority of these were straightforward sales with goods that were as expected....in my opinion this is not a good test of a seller and it is how they deal with problems that really counts. I'm not going to give the whole sorry story, but the result of my case is that I have had to go through my credit card provider to reclaim the money because Tool-net simply blanked me when I asked for a refund due to a Clarke drill that did not function to a sufficient standard (excess vibration). I took all reasonable steps to communicate with the manufacturer about the problem and utimately the manufacturer told me to return it (based on a video of the drill shaking). Manufacturer then stated that this was normal for the drill so in my opinion it was not of sufficient quality and I requested a refund (case was started within 30 days of order - Citizens Advice confirm that I am entitled to a refund). Tool-net's response to this was radio-silence....for weeks, ignoring my emails. In the end without drill or refund I had no choice but to go through credit card company for refund. Citizens Advice have logged the case with Trading Standards. If you do further serches on Tool-net you will find other review sites with much worse reviews, with many cases linked to Tool-net not actually being a stockist - but rather, they simply pass your order on to another seller (often the manufacturer) which can lead to messy communications and greater opportunity for things to go wrong. I will not be buying from Tool-net again.

United Kingdom | 18 June 2017Poor service, ordered a brand new Air conditioning unit, the item arrived faulty. Tool-net wouldn't give a refund or replace the item, had to take a day off work to stay in for the manufacturer to collect the item with no eta given. Now 2 weeks later in the middle of a heat wave £400 out of pocket, still no air conditioner. They don't even have a call centre, the whole proccess is done via email, with very slow responses. Avoid at all cost

United Kingdom | 15 June 2017i have rated this review with 2 stars at the time of writing this. having sent 4 emails and still no reply to any i find this very frustrating. my order no 597074 never arrived in stead i got an item priced at £50 which is no good to me and has nothing to do with what i ordered. i will review again once i have received a reply and my goods delivered

United Kingdom | 14 June 2017At this moment of writing this review I am not very pleased with the service so for as I am in the worst of both worlds with no goods and no money. They take my order and payment then ask for more money for postage which I pay. Then I get email out of stock and no date for restock. Trying to contact them is NOT easy. So now they have my money and I have no good. Finally make contact by phone and I must say here that the girl was very good and we cancelled order and reordered a similar product. Which was in stock ready for despatch great I think job sorted with goods and refund. 24hrs later still no word of dispatch and my account shows nothing on order. Really wish I had gone somewhere else. As requested the order no. was 597033. Thank-you for your reply. But still nothing about my goods. Well! what a good and quick result. The supplier said they would sort things out and they have, good arrieved on the 16th so i can now get the job completed this week end. Thank-you tool.net for sorting. May i surgest though that better stock control would have saved a lot of time & concern. But again thank-you for sorting.

United Kingdom | 14 June 2017Great service, very easy to order, prices are not the cheapest but you only get what you pay for, also efficient delivery without any problems. I'll certainly use these guys in the future. William Brenner (WJB Supplies) O/N 597325

United Kingdom | 09 June 2017There was apparently "free delivery" with new customers, however the discount was not applied at the check-out, and then was not later "Refundable". Poor service. I have still not yet even received the package. NB, this review has been written after contacting the sales desk to explain the above issue. Again, further i am dissapointed in this company. The product has now arrived, though slightly damaged- i suppose you "get what you pay for" with these people. Time pressures apply when you are working to shedule, we have installed the product, and "Youngman" products do the job they are supposed to. I am very happy with what i have installed. My issue remains with tools-net. They do not keep to their promises as a delivery company. There are alternative suppliers- personaly, their customer services suggests that unless there is a large price differential- they are explored. Update June 2018: I notice that this company is no longer trading! Further to tools.net feedback:

United Kingdom | 09 June 2017Bought a Youngman 3 section ladder with 8.6m reach from Tool-Net (internet logistical solutions). It was a good price with reasonable delivery costs. Dispatch was direct from Youngman and have since learned that tool-Net is known by a lot of manufacturers. The ladder is great. The 3rd section can be completely removed, and the two larger sections are permanently held together. This is a very long ladder that can be easily transported on the roof of an estate car. Has come in useful for jobs I wouldnt have even attempted previously. I would recommend using Tool-Net.

United Kingdom | 09 June 2017I bought a "S0931 - Sealey S0931 Compact Twin Barrel Foot Pump" which failed within 60 days of purchase. The vendor helped me decide on a better, stronger alternative and quickly processed a refund and replacement. I found the process to be easy and trouble free, and would recommend Tool Net as you can be sure that any problems will be dealt with without fuss.

United Kingdom | 07 June 2017Order 543527 I have been shopping with Tool-Net for a number of years now and I have always been very happy with the service I have received. They stock all the stuff I used to buy from Machine Mart along with a number of other useful product lines which really makes them a 'one-stop-shop' for me. My most recent order included a faulty item (manufacturing defect, nothing to do with Tool-Net) but customer service was friendly and helpful and they refunded me very quickly. I would not hesitate to shop with them again and I strongly advise others to do the same.

United Kingdom | 07 June 2017Best prices about. One item was out of stock but promptly followed on, communication good and emails answered promptly. The website isn't the best but it's worth wading through for the price.

United Kingdom | 07 June 2017Another excellent quality tool from this company with a fast delivery, customer service is of a very high standard. I will use this company again.

United Kingdom | 06 June 2017I think this is the second time I have dealt with tool-net and each time I find their prices are competitive and the service excellent with very prompt delivery. Cannot fault them at all.

United Kingdom | 06 June 2017Yet again a faultless order and delivery from these guys

United Kingdom | 04 June 2017Two problems. My main issue with this company is they took my order, emailed me demanding extra postage (even though it was "free" over £50), then I heard nothing for 10 days with no goods and then found out they DON'T have a customer services phone number, only an email address (the number on their site is only for payments) and they are pretty slow to reply. I finally found out they had an item out of stock on my order, but hadn't felt it necessary to bother telling me, so I'm sitting here like a lemon waiting for my goods, and had to buy a couple of items elsewhere in the meantime for a job I had to do over the weekend. Also, their "free postage over £50" only applies to small stuff like screwdrivers etc that they can get into a little box (this is hidden in the small print). If you order anything larger, they email you and ask for extra postage. Yes, they are probably the cheapest tools online by a couple of pence in the pound, but don't hold your breath for any kind of service. Not using this company again. *UPDATE* My parcel was under 30 kgs (4 aluminium clamps, a small plane and some other lightweight stuff), so Tool-net's reply below is a bit irrelevant...

United Kingdom | 04 June 2017Item was slightly delayed as unexpectedly out of stock, but dealt with swiftly and communication excellent. Great prices, would definitely use again. Thank you.

United Kingdom | 01 June 2017I came across Tool-Net via Google when searching for a replacement patio heater as mine had just packed up. Whilst I hadn't heard of them before, Tool-Net were offering the exact model I was seeking at the best price available via Google. As mentioned, I hadn't used them before, but on checking their address they are local to me so I decided to go ahead with the order. Whilst browsing their site, a pop up then offered me free delivery if I supplied my email address which I did and received a working code which removed the £6.99 delivery charge. I placed the order via the website 2 days ago, received immediate confirmation, and the item has been delivered today, so all in all very happy with the price, service and delivery.
