United States | 14 October 2024The experience buying your insurance was fine however after I bought the policy it said you would email my policy docs immediately. It's been 3 days and I have not received them. I have reached out twice through your help center and have received NO response but somehow I have gotten two emails asking me how you are doing. I need to receive my policy docs NOW. Also, I signed up for the membership and when I did it indicated I had a policy and gave me a policy number, yet when I clicked on the link to get the docs myself, it says there is no policy. You have my money and I have a policy number, can you PLEASE send my documents now.

This company makes it as difficult as possible to even file a claim (note that going to the World Nomads website can never lead to a claims page). Their third party administrator, TripMates, is extremely slow and then denies basic claims. I was put out of a bus onto a highway exit ramp due to breakdown, and they are shocked that I don't have a written receipt that this happened as traffic is racing by. God help you if you need real help. Expect to get absolutely no value out of this company or product. It is insurance fraud. SCAM.

I’m reviewing World Nomads based only on my experience with purchasing and communication. It’s easy to buy but I have no idea how they are when you need the help when on a trip. They send too many emails that do not apply to me.

Ireland | 12 October 2024These people are not very reliable at all. I submitted a claim around September 20, 2024. Today is October 12, and still. They are reviewing my claim. It seems pretty much that they are trying to find excuses to not pay the claim. They are basically asking me for more documents , one after the other. Sure it's reasonable but, how about this. Right now I provided them with, a hospital itemized bill, a card receipt, and bank statement. As proof of payment for medical costs. And they are telling me that, it's not valid??? I mean are they serious? I'm in Ireland and their underwriter is Collinson. So who should I be blaming for their incompetence? Collinson or World nomads?

United States | 11 October 2024It was an inconvenience to repurchase my policy and submit the information to customer service, have them cancel the old policy, and replace it with the new one. Not only was it time consuming, but it also held up the credit line until the refund cleared. It would have been so much more customer-friendly if the changes could have been made to the existing policy. Never had to do anything like this before to update or change a policy.
