Canada | 11 October 2024World Nomads offered me total peace of mind. My trip lasted longer and WN gave me the ability to purchase several days coverage, while out of country, for the tail end of my trip. Their website is super easy to use and their options are straightforward. Checkout was a breeze. Thanks World Nomads!

United States | 11 October 2024Website is very simple and clear. Prices were reasonable in comparison to other companies providing both travel and emergency evacuation insurance. Entire investigation and purchase process was very efficient.

United Kingdom | 10 October 2024I chose World Nomads because they offered the most services for the lowest price. Many companies charge double or triple the price for people 60yr and over and I get it but I also need to be able to afford it so I can get it. I want to see the world but I need the protection and comfort in knowing someone is looking out for me and that's how I feel about World Nomad. Most people want the nicest, most expensive car on the road but everyone needs transportation. Four rubber wheels beat two leather heels any day. Shop around but go with the company that offers the most at the best price. Chinese restaurant philosophy: Give the customer food that taste good, a good size portion at an affordable price and the customer will bring their family. When their children grow up, they will bring their family and we will always be in business. Hope this helps

United States | 10 October 2024We missed our connecting flight. We called to see if anything was covered when it came to booking another flight and/or transportation, but we are being told we're not covered. We paid 200 for the premium insurance, but it doesn't look like we're going to get reimbursed for anything.

United States | 09 October 2024World Nomads has been very responsive to all my enquirers, and have set up a very comprehensive package that is tailored to our expectations. If the "in country" experience is equal to our preparations we will have an amazing trip. My feelings are, we shall.

United States | 08 October 2024I was recommended World Nomads more than ten years ago by my insurance company at that time because I needed to extend my insurance while taking care of family issues overseas. Since then - for 10 (!) years for each trip *usually 2-3 per year) I buy World Nomads their insurance. Reasons that I stay with them - - can extend insurance while traveling - no need to specify the exact amount of money for your travel expenses (I am notorious for last minute booking :-) ) - cover sports that traditional insurance doesn't cover. I filed a claim once. Everything was automatic, but the claim was processed within the promised time (believe 30 days). No concern - except one - they wanted me to pay at least $15 to get a check. What??? But after - for the sake of truth - not a very long email exchange, I got a paper check. But my major concern is their surveys. *Each* time when I purchased insurance "how are we doing"? First, I would never rate an insurance company before a trip; second, why do I need to rate an insurance company only based on how they sell me insurance? But that's not all. During the last several months, they sent me TWO surveys on "how they can improve their service". I wrote that everything is bearable except surveys. Did they cancel surveys - no, they started to send even more. It seems to that extent that Gmail spams out their messages. At least my last insurance went directly to Spam, and after reading the latest surveys, I can see that I am not alone. But these are even minor details. I am wondering how bad they are doing if they send so many surveys? This is usually a sign that a company is not doing very well. Would be glad to get an explanation, but has zero hope for an honest answer (hint: for improving services is not an honest answer).

United States | 07 October 2024We use World Nomad for all our overseas trips. We particularly like the expanded coverage option which includes sports such as cycling and scuba diving, the rental car coverage, and the medical coverage for international travel. We have filed one claim for trip interruption when a flight was cancelled and the process went really smoothly. Highly recommend World Nomads.
