I was not happy with the first product Electrovid had promptly sent me but with one phone call an exchange was arranged, labels & where to take the equipment being returned.The replacement arrive 2 days later in perfect working order. I stumbled across the Electrovid web site when I desperately looking for a DVD recorder with hard drive, otherwise known as a PVR. There appears to be some sort of conspiracy within the marketing of equipment for recording DVDs from TVs and Sky boxes. Nothing, absolutely nothing of any usefulness appears to be available on the web. This is most odd since a little while ago the market was awash with all combinations of machines, from a basic DVD recorder to a full blown PVR. Thank goodness for Electrovid! Their web site looks most professional and interesting, and YES they list loads of DVD/hard drive recorders, at very reasonable prices, all with a money back guarantee, and some, like the one I purchased, even with a free twelve month guarantee. The web site is most clear in this respect. Electrovid give a clear short description of the product, with the manufacturers model number, so you can do as I did looking up reviews on the machine before buying - jolly useful in my case. There could be a case for indicating any damage to the case of the machine, such as dents or scratches, but that could be off putting to a purchaser like me, when at the end of the day it's the functioning of the machine that's important. In my case better to have the odd scratch or mark (especially where it won't be seen once installed), and a machine that works perfectly, than a perfect case and a malfunctioning machine! The Toshiba RD97DT that I purchased performs excellently - it's hard to believe that it's a refurbished unit. Yes, there is a scratch on the top of the machine, possibly caused by the mains plug, and a substance on the front panel that isn't easily removed, but nothing serious, and I even received an apology from Electrovid when I mentioned this in my thank you email, although no apology was needed (it is after all a refurbished machine at a very reasonable price with a twelve month guarantee). I have a feel good feeling about Electrovid in that if the machine I purchased from them failed me within the guarantee period they would look after me very well. My advise to anyone seeking a reasonable priced DVD recorder, PVR, or any similar home entertainment equipment is to take a look at Electrovid - you may be highly delighted, as I most certainly am! I bought a DVD/VCR combo for my mother but unfortunately we couldn't connect it to her tv. Electric is we're very helpful in suggesting options but in the end we had to return it. They were very accommodating. Would recommend. The equipment was also in a very good condition being refurbished.

I purchased a dvd and hdd recorder with freevieu it came on time sercure and boxed well. the remote did not opperate recorder but after a email the service i had was 5 star and the remote arived and i am happy .there was no run rounds just pure good service andpromt well done to Ryan.

Ordered a vhs/dvd recorder from their website. When it arrived was in a poor condition and playback on vhs was jumping also the remote would not work as supplied. Called to arrange a return which was arranged. They received it back 2 weeks ago but despite telephone call to them still no refund. Wouldn’t buy from them again.

Sehr offensichtlich eine betrügerische Firma. Habe nach einigen Wochen den VHS-Rekorder erhalten. Leider passte die Software nicht: Die Anleitung war für ein komplett anderes Produkt und es fehlte auch der Freischaltcode um die Software überhaupt nutzen zu können. Beim Versuch den Support anzuschreiben erhält man nur Fehlermeldungen des Servers zurück. Habe es dann über eine andere Mailadresse aus dem Impressum des Unternehmens versucht und nach mehreren Versuchen und Wochen eine Rückmeldung erhalten. Habe mich dann dazu entschieden, das Gerät zurückzugeben, weil ich das mittlerweile alles sehr dubios und unprofessionell fand. Das Gerät ist nun seit etwa einem Monat wieder bei Electrovid und trotz mehrerer E-Mails und Kontaktversuche werde ich seitdem konsequent ignoriert und es wird nicht darauf eingegangen, wie ich mein Geld zurückerhalte. Das Unternehmensmotto ist scheinbar: "Geld erhalten und untertauchen." Zum Glück habe ich eine Rechtsschutzversicherung und es ist mir nicht zu blöd wegen den ausstehenden 90 € meinen Anwalt zu beauftragen - kostet mich ja nichts außer ein wenig Zeit. Das Unternehmen scheint darauf zu spekulieren, dass sich das die meisten anderen Menschen auch denken und diesen "geringen Betrag" einfach als Lehrgeld verbuchen. Ich werde heute eine letzte Frist per Einschreiben setzen und nach Ablauf selbiger das Ganze auf dem juristischen Weg klären. Ich denke zwar nicht, dass dabei was rumkommen wird, da es sich hier offensichtlich um Betrüger handelt, aber vielleicht kann man damit zumindest erreichen, dass auf richterliche Anweisung die Seite offline genommen wird und nicht noch weitere Leute abgezogen werden.

I purchased a refurnished VCR. It arrived quickly, works well - I am only wanting it to play back videos, was beautifully packaged. Had the original remote been with it I would have awarded 5 stars.

Great customer service-after experiencing problems with our first refurbished VHS machine-Ryan said would send out replacement and we posted other one back-postage free. Some problems with delivery of new machine but again Ryan stepped in and sorted this out -excellent and very pleased with prompt efficient service

Leider muss ich einen Stern vergeben um überhaupt hier schreiben zu können. Diese Firma ist eine Betrugsfirma...Recorder bezahlt, nie erhalten und auch kein Geld zurück bekommen.Direkter Kontakt mit der Firma nicht möglich. Ich warne jeden davor hier etwas zu bestellen.
