I wondered what to expect. Could not be more pleased. Will and have told my friends and will be sending ALL my old films to be made. In this day and age it is good to be able to talk and ask questions to a real person and to know that they are honest. Thank you.

I sent a cine film off to them before Xmas , and it was processed and returned to me in 8 days . In January I sent another film off to them , and was surprised when I hadn't heard anything after 10 days so phoned . They pointed out that they work to a normal turnaround of 15 days, feeling chastened, I asked if they could let me know as soon as it was ready as I wanted my very ill brother to see it. They promised to do what they could , and to my surprise 1 day later it was processed, and being returned. So I can confirm that they are extremely helpful. The quality of the end product is better than the video we had it converted to 23 years ago, but is still limited by the original film. Don't expect results comparable to modern day DVD! Still , its just like I remember the original films from my childhood, just missing the clicking of the reels turning. So thank you cine-magic for restoring my fond memories. Other members of the family are equally grateful and enjoying their copies.

The results from my rather old and tired 16mm and 8mm were excellent. The digital enhancing of the films made such a difference. Old dull pictures became bright and clearer. The service was excellent and I would also dare to the price was good as well when compared to friends experiences who have had a similar experience elsewhere.

I found nine very old cine films in a cupboard. No idea what was on them. Sent them off and left it all up to cine magic .Good result.

I was very impressed with the website and the process of working out the costs and sending the films to Cine Magic. The timescale was as expected, and the films and USB stick came back well packed. However, it was disappointing to see that on all the films, the image was blurred around the edges of frame. Whilst the centre of frame was sharp, in all cases, and strangely to differing degrees between films, the outer third to two-thirds of the entire frame was soft. I can be sure that it isnt as a result of the original footage, because I can see on my video files that the film grain looks soft, and had the softness had been due to the original camera lens, then the grain would still be sharp on my video files. (I work in TV and video, so am used to looking closely at things like this on screen, and working out where issues come from!). However, I appreciate that working with old, delicate material like standard 8 will always be tricky, and I am sure that many of the old splices had deteriorated and broken, so I was impressed at how that issue was dealt with, its just a shame that Ive ended up with so much of the frame out of focus. Hence a 3 and not a 5.

Pity they couldn't have removed all the blemishes on the original film. However they have done an excellent job of what they were presented with. The added music was nice, but got a little monotonous towards the end.

I I had some old cine films from the sixties which I hadn't seen in years. I bundled them off to Cinemagic, with some instructions and left it to them. When the 3 dvd's came back they were better than I could possiby had hoped for. Brilliant!

Got 3 copies of this DVD, made from our old 26 cine 8mm family films. The copies were well made with soft piano background music. The work was completed quickly. We were kept upto date with the work carried out and we are very pleased with all the help from Cine Magic. The result is preservation of our old cine films onto a DVD disc for all the family to enjoy.

From when I sent my cine films to be put onto DVD the service from Cine Magic guided me all the way through the process . The initial telephone conversation with them was helpful. They performed to the program that they gave at the start. The quality was good, in fact better than viewing when using the projector on to the screen. They even managed to play "Scarborough Fair" when the cine film was at Scarborough. The other music choice was appropriate.

Quick turn around (about 7 days door to door) and that was just a few weeks before Christmas. I was kept informed all the way through the process and couldn't be happier with the results. Thoroughly recommended!
