I had several reels of cine films from my holdays abroad from 1973 to 1980. The projector I used during that time no longer worked, so I had cine films that I could no longer watch. I did a search on the internet and came across Cine Magic. I looked at their website and liked what I saw so contacted Colin and explained what I required. He explained what would happen so I packed the reels and sent them off to Ipswich. You can follow the whole process on their website. When they were returned the DVD had them all on, with a menu for each holiday. I put the DVD into the DVD player and was amazed at the quality, I can now watch them all when I want on the TV. Found this service online and nervously sent off my to me, priceless film of my long since passed brother. Cinemagics accepted cheques so payment was no problem. Cinemagic kept me informed by email at every stage of the process, from letting me know that my film had arrived safely to it being processed, finished and finally posted back. My film arrived in the same careful packing that I had sent it to them in, also of course my DVD with the contents of my film faithfully reproduced. I sent some very poor film and it was impossible to improve it, however some reasonable quality film came back looking very good. I don't know how the costs compare with other firms, but the system worked very well.

A tricky job transferring 9.5mm format to digital done without any issues

I shopped around on the net for a company to convert my Dad's cine films to dvd and decided on Cine Magic mainly due to their customer feedback (and prices). I was not disappointed with my decision. They even contacted myself to recommend having background music applied to the films (which I initially didn't want). I am so glad they did this as the films did seen odd when I muted the sound. I am extremely happy with the quality of the films and the service I received - I plan to get the few remaining films converted as soon as possible and can't wait to see my Dad's reaction when I give him the dvds.
