I took my Macbook in because for several months I'd been having a problem with the battery. A week later they told me it was ready to pick up. When I got there they claimed they'd run every test but they hadn't been able to find anything wrong so they hadn't done anything. I got the computer home and immediately had the exact same battery problem as before. Complete waste of time.

I called Apple to get a "service" basically a replacement of my MacBook Pro battery, they gave me a Price of £199, but the Genius bar in Covent Garden had no appointments for 10 days, they suggested they could make an appointment with my nearest Apple Authorised Repair shop who would provide the same service but with a shorter wait. The confirmation email came in, mostly bold black large text, but in small grey text "Service pricing and terms offered by your Apple Authorized Service Provider may be different from those offered by Apple". So, I just thought I should check it wasn't too different. called MR Islington, explaining I had an Apple arranged appointment, but just wanted to check if a) they had the battery as a stock item (no they didn't, fair enough) and b) I'd seen that they might charge a different price to Apple themselves, could they confirm what it would cost? The agent told me they are usually "cheaper than Apple, not by much, but a bit". I asked if they could say by how much, they asked me to confirm the model and went away to check. Came back with two figures - "about £600 or about £300", but couldn't say which until they had the machine. Given Apple themselves charge £199 to replace, there's surely not much more expensive you can do to a battery. I cancelled immediately so I can't comment on the quality of service being "identical to Apple", but the pricing certainly seems very different. Apple's fault too as the price warning text in their email it tiny and grey, unlike the rest which is twice as big and clear black.

My [DOWN] key as a developer has been broken for a year and it got fixed in less than 10mins. I didn't think the service would be so great! Thanks very much for your great service - free of charge too! Couldn't be better ;)

Great, easy experience. These guys were pro's and it was so seamless. They seem to have done a great job on the laptop screen as well: it's back to how it was before. Would highly recommend.

I visited the Shoreditch branch late on Monday evening without an appointment regarding a MBP with a screen backlight that suddenly refused to come on, rendering the machine unusable. Leaving the machine with them, I received an SMS and email update less than 24 hours later informing me it was ready for pick up. It turns out during investigation, they were able to bring it back to life by reseating a cable inside the laptop. I was charged a very reasonable £35 labour charge for their time and had a fully functional machine back upon collection. It would have been very easy for them to claim I needed a much more expensive repair or charge their full diagnostic fee so I am really happy with the service I received.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The Islington branch of MR Systems are the most incompetent bunch of people I have ever come across! I was recommended by Apple to go through these guys as they were quicker than the 4 day wait for an Apple store appointment but in the end it took these guys 15 days for them only to tell me they had failed to obtain an unlock code for a simple Firmware lock that had come up on my iMac. Communication is non-existent, I would ring these guys everyday and receive no answer but when you go to the actual store there are barely any customers in there and everyone is sat in the back office! When I did manage to get through to them on the phone they would have no update for me and tell me they will call back the same day with news, only to not return my call and have me chasing them days later. I sent the store all the necessary paperwork (proof of purchase and my ID) for them to request an unlock code from Apple but they constantly failed to obtain one saying Apple will not accept my documents. I called Apple again and they spoke with the MR Systems store directly who informed Apple that it was miscommunication and that they did indeed manage to unlock my iMac so it would be ready for collection the next day, however when I turned up the next day to collect my iMac they told me this was not the case and they were still working on unlocking it! I finally gave up and took my iMac back from them and went directly to Apple with THE SAME proof of purchase documents and ID. Apple managed to unlock my iMac within 48hrs FREE of charge (MR Systems demanded £35.00 from me before they even resolved the issue). Save yourself the trouble and go straight to Apple, these guys are useless and will keep you in the dark whilst demanding payment!

Great and quick service I had some problems with my macbook keyboard and trackpad. They no only accommodated me on the spot, but solved the issue and replaced a piece of hardware in 20 minutes. Great service, and you can use your AppleCare plan with them. I used the MR Islington branch.

The Apple Shop on Regent Street said I needed a new top case and it would take 3 weeks. MR replaced it in 3 days for the same price. I then got honest (advised to buy the cheapest option) on a new back up drive. I was very satisfied.

Lovely guys at the Shoreditch branch. Popped in with a pathetic battery on my iphone 6s. Booked me in quickly, and let me use their wifi and do some work during a quick repair. Also gave me some advice on a 2012 macbook pro that's slowly dying, and I've now got some decent diagnostic information to go and decide if it's a repair or replace job. New battery £25, done in 30 mins, and with a smile. Happy customer!

Went here with my iPhone SE which was dead - guy took a glance in the charging port with a torch and said it was "probably" that the pins were bent and so all he could advise was a handset replacement. Followed up with Apple Genius Bar and they figured out within minutes it was impacted lint preventing the charger connecting and the pins were straight. Sorted it completely and I walked away with a fully working phone. I'm not giving one star for rudeness or anything like that, just that the whole customer experience was a complete waste of time and would have led to the wrong decision had I trusted them - which I did not.

AVOID AVOID AVOID COWBOYS - Save yourself valuable time and go directly to Apple as they charge the same prices but don't have the level of expertise you would expect. Was told by Christopher McCrossan that they are too busy to assist me and that I should go to Apple! I received a terrible service from from start to finish. When I picked up my laptop I realised my screen was not connected when I called and informed them they insinuated I was lying and denied touching my laptop despite my screen being fine prior, I had to spend another journey going back for them to apologise once they found it was returned disconnected.

Fantastic Service and highly recommended. I took my MacBook Pro in after powering up problems. The logic board was replaced within two days and covered under Apple warranty. The technical team were extremely helpful and the speed of service excellent.
