We have a 13 year old black lab who prefers the solitary life style these days. I hate putting him in boarding kennels. The noise and commotion give me anxiety for the few minutes I am there dropping him off, I can only imagine how he feels being in that environment for a whole weekend. Dogvacay allows you to seek out people in your area (or the area you are travelling) who fit your and your dog's needs. I am always able to easily find someone willing to take a senior dog, who has no children, no other large dogs and only one or two other pets. I have found the cost only slightly more than a kennel, and the convenience, quality and ability to contact your host via the app or text message is well worth any extra expense.

This was my first time ever leaving my little girl with anyone other than my mom or dad, and she's 5 years old!!! After going through dozens of posts and interviewing a couple of people, we settled on Peter and Diana. We were beyond nervous and anxious about leaving her with people we weren't familiar with. After relaying our concerns to Diana, she responded: I will treat her like my own! That really sums up how they treat every pup. They even made her home cooked meals, like at home. She got tons of exercise, got to play and interact with other dog, slept in bed with Diana. I don't think that she missed us much! We received tons of pictures everyday, and they were always keeping us in the loop, responded to us right away. Peter and Diana are two beautiful, kind souls. I really could go on and on about how wonderful they are, I'm very impressed with them! I wholeheartedly trust them with Bally. And I don't trust anyone with my little girl, she's my life! We're planing to have Bally see them very soon, for a play date with her friends!!! And I now have such peace of mind that we have found them!!!

We had plan to visit our son in Southern Ca for few days and couldn’t take our little 8 months old Bichon with us. Since it was first time leaving her we were very cautious, and didn’t want take her To some place that kept her in cage for most of the day. So, after searching online fund Dogvacay And were so happy to find someone so close to our home who had experience, and was taking care of one dog at a time. Tina was very friendly and answered all our questions and concern. She was sending us pictures and video and was accessible the whole time we were away. This was an easy and safe way to book a dogsitter for our dog and I would recommend this to anyone that might feel apprehensive about leaving their family pet.

Our regular house / pet sitter called us last minute and said she was sick. I didn't know what we were going to do because we were leaving in two days for an entire week, and did not know anyone else that could keep our 3 Greyhounds and stay at our home. I started searching and calling then I came across Dog Vacay. We hired Kelly to house and pet sit our 3 Greyhounds while we were away for spring break. Kelly did an awesome job and the DogVacay site was easy to use. I like the fact that DogVacay does basic background checks and that you can make payment right on the website. This was an excellent experience and I will use this service again!

It really was like a vacation for Charlie! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It was my first time leaving Charlie and I was so nervous but Kayla was so awesome.
