Dogvacay is a great program with a lot of options. You can pick and choose who you want to interview to take care of your four-legged child. I'm happy that Dogvacay offers the background review, first aid and other instructional items for the sitters.

This is an awesome service, we travel through several states for work with our fur baby and at times find it very difficult to find pet friendly motels. From the moment Claire texted me back (she was the first!) she seemed organized and reliable. I was so lucky I made the decision to go with her right away. She has a beautiful, dog-friendly area where dogs are safe to have fun and play outside yet stay warm & able to snuggle inside. She treated my Luella like a princess. I went to meet Claire and her husband before confirming my Luella would stay with them. Between them both, I could not have been blessed with two nicer, dog-loving, responsible people to watch my dog. It was the first time I ever left her so I was sad and nervous. Claire sent me updates everyday starting first thing in the morning during my vacation without Luella. She sent cute photos, videos, and well-written summaries of their day. She also gave Luella her vitamins, probiotics and food exactly how I had instructed. Any supplies Luella needed more of, Claire went out & purchased & supplied me with an itemized receipt for any of these items she purchased out of pocket for my baby. I cannot recommend her enough. Luella came back just as happy as ever with no change in her personality or love for me...which was a concern. (I am extremely fussy who I let around my dog.) Luella and I look very forward to seeing her again soon. Can't say it enough: CLAIRE IS PERFECTION....responsible, kind, caring, reliable, honest, trustworthy, intelligent and an amazing listener....as well as a woman who is fantastic with dogs. It was an honor having her watch my dog.

We haven't gone on a vacation in a couple of years because I didn't have a dog sitter I could trust. Our dogs are rescues and pretty high maintenance. Our kids used to pup sit but they are all older now and moved out and weren't available and I didn't want to find a stranger on Craigslist and have them stay in my home. I found Dog Vacay on Facebook and thought I would give it a try. Since it was a dedicated service, I felt it would be safe to have them in my home and that they would provide competent care for my fur babies. I met Miyuki prior to hiring her and she was great. We were very pleased with our host Daniel and can give nothing but praise for watching our babies! I was a lil skeptic about services like this and leaving my dog in the care of a stranger....yet we do that when they first get groomed, first get shots, first get to find a friend in a dog park so why now? They are our babies and we only want the best and we found that in Daniel. He even gave Nicholas his eye drops for us and let them sleep out of cage or on his bed....a true dog lover! Julie

I was in an emergency situation and needed a first-time dogsitter for my energetic Schnauzer. Went on line to search for dog sitters, and DogVacay came up. It was soooo simple to use and saved me from what could have been a stressful situation.

I successfully found someone on DogVacay to take care of my pup for 16 days while I was overseas. It worked out splendidly. That said, the first attempt I made on the site was ignored by the host for 5 days before I tried another. Kinda sucks that DogVacay doesn't have some kind of timeout feature.

I had to get a sitter for my puppy really last minute and this is a great way to find a qualified person to take care of your dog. I had an outstanding experience and will continue to use them in the future. Thanks dog vacay!
