I love this food - the pasta is beautifully made, great flavours and a good selection of meals. Plus, the recent price restructuring has made it more of an affordable treat. Usually I cook from scratch, but I draw the line at making my own pasta! It also freezes well, so you have a standby for a busy evening. Also nice to get a free beer or two every now and then when I place a large enough order!

We had high expectations that were definitely not met. Some of the guests ordered the pasta tris and the quantity of food was too much and by the time the first one was finished the other were glued and cold. The gnocchi sauce was of an impossible red and of an undefined taste. I am still trying to understand how Chef Perbellini could associate his reputation to this place. Maybe okay for tourists who never visited Italy.

I ordered some pasta. The pasta had a disgusting odour and was cold. It tasted horrible. The sauce was watery and grey. The food is just muck.

Honestly where to begin. I almost never review a place but this place is the worst. On Valentine’s Day my partner and I, who had recently had a baby, ordered a meal for delivery to celebrate directly from them. Over an hour later, we called the restaurant only to discover that due to issues with their delivery team they had simply cancelled the order without ever informing us. On the phone they revealed they had meant to call but simply not done. They said they could put through the order but only for delivery another hour later. So here we are with a screaming three month old, on Valentine’s Day, ordering in Deliveroo instead. They had no supervisor or manager on shift and offered no resolution until a manager would call us next week. Given their track record with calling customers this evening we won’t hold our breath… Honestly, don’t trust this place. Its service is terrible. There’s no guarantee food will arrive, and they won’t even call you to tell you. You just won’t get this with pizza express.

Awful, the focaccia was rock hard, the pasta was tasteless and dry, not the first time it’s happened from here, I really wouldn’t recommend it

Rosie was our pasta chef for a fun evening making gnocchi and pesto. She was great at demonstrating how to do it, making it easy for us to follow. Engaging and charismatic, Rosie made the whole room laugh and enjoy themselves. Delicious food (if I do say so myself, he he!). Recommended for a fun way to have dinner!

Disgraceful that people can sell this rubbish for this price. I have ordered in the past and have the same opinion today. My girfriend ordered from them yesterday, ragu and foccacia. The ragu was disgraceful (I am a chef) tasteless, no sauce. The foccacia was obviously some frozen junk - as I suspect all their food is from peeping through a window. They should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves representing Italian food with this horrible over-priced muck.

The choice of pasta dishes means that you can always find something you'll enjoy. The dishes themselves are simple to prepare and very tasty. You can't beat fresh pasta!

Awful customer service. No communication - late deliveries (and I mean a day late deliveries). Food is fine but nothing special. I used them when they first came out and they were great. When they started to grow - the service went a bit rubbish so I left but thought recently that I would try again. Service is just awful - I think they are too big for their infrastructure.

I booked a pasta-making session for my team as a company social, and we had an amazing time! The whole team was fantastic, and the chef was funny, engaging and entertaining. The food was great too. I highly recommend it!

The food I ordered was incredibly disappointing—there was absolutely no flavor or taste. I was expecting a delicious, well-seasoned meal after my gym session, but it was so bad it almost made me sick. The olives were completely bland and had a soft, corn-like texture. On top of that, I requested a salad and was served plain leaves, as if I were a cow. I paid £4 for extra chicken and there was only 3 pieces of chicken, complete rip off.

I use the recipe kit service and in general it's good, however I feel the quality and service has been slipping recently. The past few orders have all had issues - e.g. I tried the aubergine parmigiana and the aubergine was overly ripe to the point that it was mostly seeds and was incredibly bitter. Most recently, my pasta was completely missed off the order. Calling the helpline, I was offered store credit for the cost of my pasta, but there was zero consideration for the fact that I now don't have dinner. Not looking for a free meal, but an apology and a free focaccia for next time would have been nice. I assume this would have been offered if I had pushed, but the customer service team obviously has a script they have to stick to in order to offer the customer as little as possible while still retaining them as a customer.

I went to the Greenwich branch in January. It was the first time I’d ever been to Pasta Evangelists and had been wanting to try them for a while. As soon as I was seated I was told to use their app to order. I was waiting for my partner to join me, and unprompted, I was told (not asked) to use their app to place an order three times in eight minutes. Once my partner joined me, I couldn’t use the app because there was no signal in the restaurant and their WiFi router needed to be reset. I tried to ask for help and explained the WiFi wasn’t working, and was told that all I needed to do was “use the app”. After I finally managed to get signal, we placed a drinks order with a side dish and paid. Our drinks came and we began to order a main dish. My partner selected spaghetti carbonara. I tried to select several different combinations of pasta and sauce but each time I selected anything I got an error message saying that one of the items in my basket was no longer available and my item was removed. I tried again to ask for help and was unhelpfully told to “use the app”. So I ordered a carbonara, as it was the only thing I could order. When placing the order, the app said that it would use the same card that it previously charged. And then it said there was an issue with the payment and I hadn’t been charged. The error message disappeared, and I tried to place the order several times with the same result. I asked for help again and was told the kitchen had received my order. I raised a concern that I don’t think the payment was taken and I was told I could pay at the till before I left by the manager. The food was really good and I wish I could have tried something other than carbonara. When we stood up to leave, the staff were insistent that I pay at the till before I could get my coat on. The manager kept making passive aggressive comments about how if I “just used the app” I wouldn’t have had any issues. She wasn’t interested in anything I or her staff were trying to tell her. I tried to show her a screenshot of the payment failing but she implied that this was my issue for not knowing how to use the app. One of the staff said that I should have received an email, and I showed them my emails where I had no receipt for either the drinks or the mains. She asked me to pay £25 for the mains. I raised concerns that I could be charged multiple times as I had already tried to pay multiple times. She said that it would not happen as the app worked fine. She then took payment from me for £25. So of course I had been charged twice for the mains. When I was next in Greenwich, I tried to ask for a refund. The manager apparently doesn’t work on Mondays and is the only person authorised to issue refunds. It was unclear when her next shift would be, but maybe tomorrow. The staff were sympathetic, and said that this happens regularly. I tried to contact the customer service email, but an agent named {insert_name_here} apologised and forwarded the complaint and refund request to the branch manager. I haven’t heard back. Honestly, never again. It really isn’t worth it.
