Really quick delivery. Wanted to try something different so chose pulled pork and cavelo nero radiatori and Mac and cheese with black truffle and fresh marjoram. My picky daughter loved the pulled pork pasta!! The instructions were very easy to follow. The delivery was quick but the Yodel driver delivered the box the wrong way up!! We’ve decided to have another order in 3 weeks’ time and are very much looking forward to trying something different again!

Carbonara of Dreams is delicious - it never fails as a Friday night/start of the weekend dinner. The team are always extremely helpful with any queries, most recently Catt who provided excellent support.

Husband and I have only had one Pasta Evangelists meal so far but the food was absolutely superb - superior Italian restaurant quality. Had a query and spoke to their customer services today and the lady I spoke to was absolutely excellent.

We went to the pasta academy and had so much fun at our Taste of Tuscany course. Thank you very much Chef Tom for your very clear instructions and sharing so many beautiful and funny stories about Italy! We will be back soon :)

We did the farfalle Friday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our previous experience of pasta was one of enthusiastic consumption - which may not REALLY count as knowledge. Excellent and super enthusiastic teacher.. (grazie Martina) interesting and a bit challenging - my farfalle were clearly not industrially produced! However not so difficult as to be sob- inducing...hot and cold running prosecco and the other participants were cheery - what was not to like? Yes reader, we liked it. MUCH recommended.

Had nothing but trouble from the start. Tried to place an order with 50% off four first order code only to find out it wasn't 50% off your first order in most cases it wasn't even 50% off 1 meal as some of these are over £30 and the offer is only upto £15 in the small print contacted there customer service to be told that alot of People have made them aware of this and they gave me £10 credit on the account so I placed an order for 3 meals 2 deserts and 2 cocktails we received an email that night stating that the cocktails are not available and they have replaced them with 2 other gifts so we contacted them only to be told they weren't sure what they were replaced with we stated that we would like to know as we don't want to receive anything we wouldn't drink like wine etc they emailed us back to say that they replaced the cocktails with 2 pims summer down cocktails. and we where happy with that. But when our order arrived we noticed that the deserts where running allover the packaging and that the replacement cocktails where not pims as previously told instead they sent prosecco miniatures

Tried for first time, carbona of dreams was lacking meat and the cheese just too much pasta, the award winning charucturiue was very poor although the picture shows a plate full of meat at £6+ read the whole menu as says the picture say its a 2+ platter pic for £6+ i expect more than 2 pieces at best of each meat and a crappy lettece, on the upside the mac cheese was delicious and what made me give 3 stars if you served those portions in branch good luck

Whilst the food was ok and service was good, I have to only mark them 3 stars out of 5 due to the extremely poor choice of Gluten Free. They have 2 choices basically, a pesto dish and a ragu dish. The pesto dish was really bland, the ragu dish was delicious actually. The free Prosecco set was nice but the Prosecco wasn't brilliant. The Aperol Spritz set I got was brilliant though.

I have received two orders so far, both containing tasty Italian dishes to complete at home. Lots of fresh flavours, lovely range of ingredients and complementary sauces. Vegetarians well catered for too. My guests said it was restaurant quality! Portions are generous and the meals freeze well.

EDIT: Just three days after writing this review, PE sent me notification that they're launching one-off ordering. I can't believe it was my review that prompted this ;-) - but thank you PE. I can now drop you an order whenever the mood takes me (and that's likely to be often!) I admit I was sceptical. Not terribly keen on open subscriptions, especially if the price is variable and reviews suggest cancelling is not quite as easy as the marketing blurb would have you believe. But there was a new-customer offer of 50% off and the menu did sound good, so I figured it was worth a try. Ordering on the PE website is easy, but watch out for the pre-selected options that mean by default you’re ordering for two, even if the price shown is for one. It was a niggle that almost put me off ordering, as it’s a flag that the company will upsell at every opportunity (note to PE – don’t do this; reputation is everything). I ordered four single-portion meals, and with the discount it was less than £15, which is probably around what I’d expect to pay in a supermarket for a mix of fresh pasta, filled pasta and sauces that would make four meals. But obviously I was hoping this would be a bit better than a Tesco’s spinach & ricotta tortellini. You can select a delivery day, but not a timeslot – so you have a 13-hour window from 8am to 9pm when your order can arrive. That’s a bit of an ask, and surely delivery logistics have moved on that we should be able to pick morning, afternoon or evening? This is a negative in an otherwise slick operation. As it was, I got a notification at 10.30am on the day saying the food was on the way and would be with me around 11.30am. That estimated delivery time changed frequently over the next hour, but in the end my order was in my hands at 11.31am. Just in time for lunch... I was eager to give this a whirl. Each product has a use-by date on the packet, which ranged from a couple of days to four days, but everything can be frozen for up to a month. That’s a good selling feature. I picked the Pea & Shallot Ravioli for lunch, popped a pappardelle in the fridge for later in the week and the remaining two meals in the freezer. Then I opened the ravioli and saw the size of the pasta. They were huge. Like really massive. So I put half the portion in the fridge ;-) Instructions for cooking are clearly laid out and nothing looks like it takes more than five minutes to prepare. In the case of the Pea & Shallot Ravioli, you boil the pasta for three minutes, chuck it in a pan with some of the garlic oil and then serve dressed with more garlic oil and the pangrattato sprinkled on top. Even I couldn’t get it wrong. And so to the important bit – the taste. And this is where this review breaks down into gushing enthusiasm. I make no apologies. I have never had a pasta I cooked (ok, warmed through...) at home that tasted this good. The ravioli was generously filled with gloriously umami pea and shallot that was perfectly balanced with the garlic oil and a touch of sharpness from the lemon crumble on top. Just delicious. With the new customer discount, and the fact I was only eating half a portion, my lunch cost me about two quid. I’m not going to argue with that. I can find minor fault with the process (subscription-based, upsells, huge delivery windows), but for the food itself, I have nothing but praise. As a veggie – and not much of an experimental cook – I’ve got used to the rather bland ready meals offered in the meat-free section. And the current trend that seems to think all veggies want a meat substitute limits the selection even more. Mac & Cheese, anyone? Pasta Evangelists’ menu is exciting and accessible. The only real problem is which one are you going to have for lunch next?

Food looked and smelt bad. For the money they charge the quality is questionable. When i put in mu review on deliveroo- they gave me a 5gbp credit for my next order- which is funny. I am never going to buy from them again.

You pay a high price for a small portion of food that only keeps fresh for 1-2 days before you are forced to eat or freeze it. I had a problem with my first delivery (carrier's fault) but customer services were very good at sorting it out. But my lasagna was welded to the paper casing so it ended up being slopped out onto a plate. The flavour of the dishes are hit and miss. Some are really lovely but some are quite average. The texture of the sauce isn't great. I had an introductory offer for first two deliveries, still high in price but just about acceptable. Full price however really isn't. I cannot emphasise just how small the servings are, certainly one portion is simply nowhere near enough for two people. If money is no object and you buy double portions too, you'll probably be happy. There are better deals out there for the rest of us.
