United States | 21 June 2023Poor Operations and Customer Service Ordered from them because they had everything I needed for my project in stock. Everything was labeled as in stock and with their normal green stock notification, not their special order red (This is important to my issue). Got a generic automatic response for the order which is to be expected. Two days later, I get a shipping notification, and then another email from whom I'm guessing handles shipping telling me only half the order shipped and that the other half was special order and had to be shipped in. No it wasn't, even checked their website again to make sure I hadn't somehow missed it, and in green text "In Stock" on the product pages. I replied asking for more information as well as a rough ETA (I get it, the website isn't always accurate, but usually vendors know when shipments are due to arrive and what turn around typically looks like). Zero response after two days, so I email their customer service directly, this time including images showing the item was still being advertised as in stock and ready to ship, and all I wanted was at least confirmation that my message had been received and would at least be looked into. Nothing again for two more days. Then they send me a "How did we do?" email, as though their customer had already resolved my issue, and since they never did nor did they respond I decided as low a score as I could go would do. Took them 15min after that to finally respond. This is either poor work ethic, bad management, and/or inability to properly staff and resource. I digress. They looked into what was going on, and as I suspected, the item was not in stock and was inbound still. Truck was expected Mon/Tue and I should receive a tracking confirmation mid week. Skip to end of said week, I've received zero communication and gave time just in case, and nothing. So I called in, the CSR didn't know why it hadn't shipped, and after putting me on hold said I would receive a shipping notification in my email. Operations is hard. Customer service is hard. It's not that hard or if it is management needs replacing. Figure out your choke points and run the damn business or I swear I'll just open one up myself and do it better. Bigger, smarter, and better companies have died to similar situations and its ridiculous. Fire people if you have to but seriously, figure out your customer service and operations, or just shut down. Its obvious you're unable to operate well and with all the reviews I've found after the fact you don't deserve to carry the brands you do.

I have millions of followers on social media ,needless to they r about to have the worst pr issue on their hands .

United States | 04 February 2023Do not buy from them. I ordered a sub from them and had it installed to find out it was blown and did not work properly. When I reached out to them, I was told it was eligible for a replacement if I were to pay to ship it back to them. I paid and had it shipped back. Then, they just stop responding to my emails. Anytime I reach out to the person I was working with, Maria Fatima, I get get nothing. I have reached out at least 5 times and have yet to receive my replacement or any correspondence regarding it.

United States | 03 February 2023After going through several back and forth emails with customer service and tech support for a defective head unit and trying to determine if the issue was with the head or the install my ticket was cancelled before any decision was made or any resolution to my issue. I had to contact them and have the "ticket" re-opened which took multiple emails. They seem to not want to accept that I am currently an ASE Certified Master Tech with automotive electrical being one of my specialties. After going back and forth multiple times, removing the head unit multiple times (to give the requested data) they did finally offer me an RMA # with the understanding I pay the shipping charges and potential restocking fees(??). I even offered to upgrade my unit and pay the difference but there was no response to that. If nothing else, charge my card and send me a new unit and refund me when you receive the defective unit..?? Nope.. Customer service at OnlineCarStereo.com is a complete failure and is abysmal at best. I understand they deal with problems daily and some of them are not legitimate but you CANNOT treat all of them like they are not legitimate failures in the products you sell (that is why there are warranties given from the manufacturer). They really should be ashamed of their customer service and tech support departments. I know I am and I don't even work for them. If I did, there would be some extensive training taking place..

The shipping bix was damaged, the radio box was pierced, there was no packing in the box,and have of the features work on the radio. I called the company and told them the situation. At first, they wanted me to pay shipping for a defective "new item". Then, they said since the shipping box was damaged they would pay shipping and I would receive a new radio. I provided all pictures asked. It's been almost 3 months and I still have not had my issue resolved. I have called multiple times and been given the run around. I was told they are waiting on UPS to accept the claim. That was a month ago. I called two days ago and was told a supervisor was going to call me due to the long time frame. Still waiting on that call. I will never purchase from them again.

Like everyone else, I was told a customer service person would get back in touch. They have not responded. Reading the other reviews, it gives me very little hope to get any assistance or any money back. The responds to these other emails seem to be a generic "sorry for your issue" BS

United States | 28 September 2022I ordered two items. One worked well and the other had a defect. I called to return it. I was told on three occasions that a tech would call me. A tech never called. I had to pay return shipping and three weeks after tracking showed they received it I finally called to see what was up. They said the unit was defective and their policy was to ship another one. Fine. Here I am 3 weeks later after no replacement head unit, 6 weeks after they received the defective unit. At this point they have stolen $430 of my hard earned cash and I had to install a different stereo so I’m not driving around with a hole in my dash. Steer clear!! Sure you might get lucky and save a buck, or get royally screwed. I should have bought from Crutchfield. This matter would have been resolved an a couple of days. I still have no resolve in sight after a month and a half.

I decided not to do the project and shipped the subwoofers back in the original shipping box, unopened, unused. I paid the return shipping myself so a full refund was expected. After three weeks and a few phone calls, OnlineCarStereo credited me back 75% of the original purchase price. This company will scam you. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. There a lot of choices out there. Pick a reputable one, not this company.

United States | 28 November 2019Returned a JVC car stereo that was DOA and was charged both a restocking fee and a ridiculous $19.99 return shipping fee! I called and complained and was at least able to get the restocking fee refunded but still got screwed out of $20 bucks for what was supposed to have been a discounted return shipping! Don't even bother with onlinecarstereo - next time go to Best Buy where they have the same items for about the same price and REAL customer service.

United States | 23 January 2019This is the worst experience ever, from the sales person (Juan Lopez) to the “manager” (Marvin). They sold me a bad amplifier and made me pay shipping back, but not just that. After speaking to (manager:Marvin) he stated that he will give me a full refund due to the issue, so I was okay with paying shipping. A week later they received the amplifier but still no refund. Took them 2 months to process the refund and when refund was processed they decided to charge me shipping and restocking fee for an item that came defective. I called them about this and all they had to say “we sent money back to get what we sent you, can’t work anything out) ending up loosing half of price of amplifier only because their stupid bad amplifier! AGAIN STAY AWAY, THEY SELL BROKEN ITEMS AND WONT EVEN GIVE YOU MONEY BACK! OR AN EXCHANGE!
