United Kingdom | 27 November 2022I bought a pair of BARBOUR MEN'S YOUNG SLIPPERS RECYCLED SEAWEED TARTAN for my husband last xmas. We are usually good to our slippers, and try not to batter them about. The soles have all broken up into pieces now and its less than a year. Safe to say barbour is likely one of those brands that are only good at making coats/jackets.

United Kingdom | 26 November 2022I have read a number of the reviews below and can sympathise with the writers. My experience, however, compared to many fashion companies this Christmas has been great. The thing that has made the difference is being able to speak to someone. The lady I spoke to was very well informed, she knew the product and the company and could advise on the extended Christmas returns policy. I will shop regularly with Barbour they are British company, making products in Britain and they provide a personal customer service experience.

United Kingdom | 26 November 2022Terrible returns process. DO NOT USE THEIR INPOST SERVICE. This is the first time I have ever had cause to return something to Barbour. I bought a jacket from them that needed to be returned due to being too big. Inpost looked like a great returns service. Only I went to the local depot after checking there was space to find all the lockers full. I drove to the next one with space (according to the website) only for it to reject my QR code they had supplied me with, I called them only to be told to call back another time as they are too busy to answer, they then cut you off. So I am still stuck with a £239 coat in the boot of my car. Great service. I have reported them to Barbour and advised them to cut all contracts. Not that they’ll listen to me…. I’m only a customer. The best barbour can do is send me a Royal Mail label which will take however long due to postal strikes! Terrible experience of both Inpost and Barbour for deeming inpost suitable method of returns. Hassle free???? Not.

Canada | 25 November 2022I bought a Jacket last week at a Barbour distributer in the West of Ireland. I had been wanting a Barber jacket forever and when I saw it in a small Clothing store in Ennis County Clair I bought it. Little did I realize the Jacked stank of damp and mould as I had not spent time with it outside the Store. I contacted Barber and they as much as told me to tke it up with the store direct. It is obvious that this store was closed for two Years during covid with no heat and humidity control. I have been sold a bill of goods not fit for purpose, be aware when dealing with Barber, its obvious they dont audit their distributers and care less for their Customers.

Left name and phone number with chap who assured me he would call me. Nothing. Wasted time snd money travelling here. Certainly will not be back. Review

United Kingdom | 17 November 2022Got through all the hurdles only to be told that they don't ship to Northern Ireland. Nice discrimination, Barbour, great job.

United Kingdom | 10 November 2022I always buy Barbour for the warmth of the jacket . I purchased a light weight pink fibre down jacket . It has been washed correctly but the quilted fibre down has now seperated in the jacket and it looks and feels horrible when I wear it . I’ve actually had to stop wearing it now . I contacted Barbour and the customer service was terrible and totally unhelpful . I accept it’s out of 12 month warranty but they didn’t even give any advice on how to plump up the fibre down filling . I will never buy a fibre down again .

United Kingdom | 08 November 2022New Barbour cascade cap falling apart and cost £25.00.🙄 What has happened to this company? I think everything is being outsourced now and zero checks in place. I'm going back to Chemeau now for my needs.

United Kingdom | 04 November 2022The sweater purchased in this store lost its shape after a couple of washes. How can you sell this!

United Kingdom | 31 October 2022I bought myself a Barbour Ashby jacket from John Lewis in May 2020, just after the lockdown started. Unfortunately, I did not wear it until recently, when I found a large hole in the lining of the front right bellows pocket. The checked material is tearing away from the wax cotton. A quick check on the left pocket showed the exact same fault. I have worn the jacket 4 - 6 times maximum! I have contacted Barbour about this issue and await a reply. I will update this review depending on the outcome of Barbour's answer. Update: I sent the jacket with cover letter to Barbour and two days later received a confirmation it had arrived. A few weeks later, I received an email from Barbour saying my jacket had been dispatched; no other details. It arrived quickly enough via DPD. On inspection, both pockets seem to have been redone to a satisfactory standard, and there was no charge. But there was no accompanying letter with it, and it cost me £11 to send a faulty item back to them. The customer service was reasonably good, but I really would have to think twice before buying Barbour again.

United Kingdom | 28 October 2022One of the very poorest customer service experiences I've ever had. Needed a replacement zip for a bag - no help at all, couldn't supply a replacement zip to buy or any solid signpost of assistance elsewhere. Genuinely disappointing.

United Kingdom | 27 October 2022Brilliant company, had my new jacket stolen as dpd had left it in a stupid place. Dpd didn't even want to know. Luckily Barbour customer service were brilliant an sent me another 1 even though they didn't have too

United Kingdom | 25 October 2022Sent my Jacket for a seam restitch and rewax. I had neglected to rewax for the last 3 years so did not expect it to come back looking as good. It will never look new but it did come back looking close to. The turn around was fast and how it was packaged for its return showed that it was cared for during the process. Then again a Barbour is not just a jacket. It's a jacket that if cared for is built to last.

United Kingdom | 23 October 2022I bought a Barbour umbrella. The quality is very poor. It’s flimsy and turns inside out with the least bit of wind. I would not recommend a Barbour umbrella.

United Kingdom | 19 October 2022I bought the women’s Cordelia knit. It seems the mostly-cotton content is not ideal for such a heavy piece. I’ve worn it four times and it’s not been washed, but the cuffs have expanded and now hang loose from my wrists, and the lovely big polo neck which encircled my neck at first has now also gone into a sloppy shape. At nearly £80 quite costly for what will now be a gardening jumper.

United Kingdom | 15 October 2022My wife bought me a pair of Barbour wellies in August 22. After only one year of use the sole on the right boot has worn away, split and now leaking. The lining of the right boot has worn away too. Yet the left boot is fine. Unfortunately for such expensive boots 50% aint a pass.

United Kingdom | 10 October 2022I bought a Barbour Beaufort wax jacket last October (2021). On waxing it recently, I noticed that there was quite considerable damage to the back by the hem. I contacted the seller (CHO) who advised me to use Barbour's 'repair' service. With postage costs, it would have cost over £100. Expecting more from such a reputable company, I queried this as I'd only had the jacket under a year. After a few emails, Barbour waved the repair charge, then refunded postage & actually sent me a new jacket. Incredible service & professionalism. So, I received an exact replacement. I dealt with Alisha from Barbour's customer service who was very helpful, also answering my emails very quickly. Many thanks, Alisha
