I have never liked dealing with companies on the Internet but I needed food for our numerous birds and while browsing in the web I discovered 'wildbirddirect.com' that supplied bird food throughout the UK regardless of 'postal code' so I ordered to find 1) speedy delivery and 2) outstanding quality. Our garden is continually full of birds of all varieties including red squirrels - testimony enough. Incidentally, the food dropped are picked up by numerous pheasants and even deer!! Very good service. Goods arrived within 48 hours with good commuication from them and the carriers. The birds are loving the sunflower hearts particularly with the weather the way its been.

the service was fast and efficient, as well as very good value for money, my only critisism would be that the weight of the packages were a bit excessive weighing 33 kilos.

The service provided by wildbirddirect is truly SECOND TO NONE. I am kept fully advised of the progress of my delivery from the minute the order has been placed until the arrival of the goods. Their prices are also the most competitive around, with £9.99 for a 20kg sack of wildbird seed, being truly unbeatable. I have used wildbirddirect for a good many months now, and place an order with them every fortnight (I have hungry birds), and not once have they failed to perform. With all this in mind, I would not hesitate in recommending wildbirddirect to anyone. Finally, I have just received my recent order and found that they had kindly, and free of charge, included some additional items which I know my garden birds will love. I tried this company for the first time this week. Prompt email communication regarding my order, which arrived the next day. Excellent quality and good prices, and special offers available, although with the added delivery costs the total package can cost more than other companies offering the same quantities with free delivery. Only reservation is that the goods need to be signed for on delivery: other bird food companies are more flexible in their delivery arrangements. One final point regarding the fat balls: these are not only supplied in nets (stated in the description) but are also individually wrapped in cellophane - why? I ordered 100 of these fat balls on special offer, each of which has to be taken out of the cellophane. What a waste of time, and more importantly, resources.

My local supplier was out of stock of sunflower hearts and could not give me any advice on delivery so I turned to the internet. I ordered the sunflower hearts from Wild Bird Direct at a competitive price and was delighted to receive my order the following day even though there was adverse weather conditions in the UK.

As editor and publisher of my own website I did think that Wild Bird Direct's site was very good, navigation could be made a bit simpler and, given that perhaps most of the customers to the site are over 35, maybe older, I would say the site does need to be simpler. On the service side I thought WBD were completely rubbish. I filled out a form for my purchase and ticked the box to be contacted for payment details given over the phone. That was past a week ago, no one telephoned and as I was paying a premium price for a bird feeder in terms of postage I did feel the company should ring me, it is not for me to 'chase' them for a sale. Anyway, I have since bought a bird table and a feeder locally, it was after all a Christmas gift and had I waited any longer for some one from WBD to get back to me, it'd be next Christmas. To be honest I am unlikely to recommend the company. I do most of my shopping online and quite frankly I don't think Wild Bird' are as good as many other online companies out there on the big world wide web.
