After reading the other reviews on TrustPilot I purchased an Oak Lamp Table although when trying to assemble it I found that the bolts for the lower shelf were too short to reach the thread of the nut to secure it. I wrote an email explaining the problem and requesting some longer bolts, which are supplied for the upper table top. Unfortunately, after two days of silence, the table is left unassembled and Quercus are unresponsive. For the cost of the item, I was expecting better. The table top is made out of Oak although the shelf is made from MDF with an Oak veneer. Overall pretty unimpressed with the service and product supplied. Have now had to go and source some bolts myself, not something you expect to do for a piece of furniture that you have just bought.

The tables were delivered extremely quickly. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that the delivery company didn't knock on my door, so I didn't know they had arrived until quite some time later. However, the tables themselves are beautiful: understated, with curved edges and tapered legs. I didn't want anything too "blocky" and heavy and these are very elegant. Very pleased indeed.

I was delighted with the 2 kid's bedside cabinets. They were perfect as they were narrower than a normal cabinet and fitted either side of our bed. They are well made and delivered within a few days of ordering. Not only used for kids!

I over the past 3 or 4 years have purchased items from Quercus Living, this was my third purchase. On each occasion, the items have been as good if not better than I expected. Their prices are very competitive, in fact probably the lowest, as I scanned the internet to see competitors. The delivery was quick and on time and the packaging was spot on. I would recommend them to anyone who asked me.

Charged me £49 even though I didn't received the item. Very very negative and stressful 6 week experience. My complaints and indications I was heading towards leaving a negative review remained ignored and unheard. Don't expect any customer service from this company. I even gave them the chance to put it right and indicated I would be leaving a negative review. They didn't care. I purchased a sideboard for over £500 on March 23rd. The item dispatched 8 days later on March 31st. Not a problem in itself although quite a long time. I then got a text saying the item would be delivered the following Tuesday April 4th. I'm self-employed so communicated that this wouldn't be enough notice. The courier company said they would get back to me with another day. They never did. I had to call the seller and chase it nearly 2 weeks later. Lo and behold I then get another text on April 13th very soon after my phone call chasing it, offering me April 17th. Again I communicated that I'm self employed and I won't be able to take the day off with that short notice. At this point I called the courier and said these are my days off can you please deliver on one of these days. I gave them a number of options. They said they do not do anything like that at all, it will be on a random day when the van is in the area. The lady seemed to take great pleasure in telling me this. I raised my dissatisfaction to Circus living, ahem sorry I mean Quercus living and they said it's because their prices are so low they have to use a budget courier. The strange thing here is the sideboard was over £500! and not very big for that cost, It was actually comparatively very expensive. We chose it because it was a smaller size and fit our small lounge, even though it was more expensive. All very strange. They're offered me a named day courier for an extra £90!!!(they offered to pay half) but I would be liable for even more costs if they couldn't get it to me on that day, for example if the courier couldn't get the lorry through if cars were double parked. It just felt like they were throwing more and more caveats at me. Imagine DFS doing this By this point I had lost confidence in the company. I said to my wife imagine how difficult it'll be getting the item back to them if we don't like it. Let's just cancel and go somewhere else with better organisation So I declined this and said don't worry about it I will just buy one somewhere else who uses a better courier. They said no problem and said they would give me a refund. Case closed or so I thought. Another 10 days later! I finally received a refund, £49 less than what I had originally paid! I had been charged a cancellation fee even though I had not received the item. The reason I changed my mind was due to the poor service not that I had to actually change my mind about the item after receiving it. It was clearly a case of requiring a little bit of common sense to realise the customer was a bit unhappy and probably the £49 cash grab wasn't worth it. At this point I raised an official complaint saying I feel like this is unreasonable as I didn't even receive the item. I said what a negative experience it had been and we were now nearly 7 weeks since the original order date. I also communicated that I would not leave a negative review as I prefer to give negative feedback direct to small businesses and give them the opportunity to put it right. They flat refused to refund me the other £49. So hence I am writing this review. I have been sitting with no sideboard in my lounge that long because of all of this messing around with a budget courier for an item that wasn't priced as budget. I have raised a claim with PayPal. The lesson here is if you order from this company make sure that you can leave work at a moment's notice or get the day off at very short notice otherwise you will be left dancing around the budget courier company for weeks on end! Also worth noting they have a charge on returns unlike most other large furniture retailers. It really is distance selling in its lowest form. Sad to say on this occasion as much as I like to support small business, stick to the big boys otherwise you will be tying yourself up in knots. Edit: seller reply not truthful. I gave a range of dates. PayPal has now issued me with a full refund of the balance after finding in my favour in the claim case.
