Great way to purchase British goods that are unavailable in the US

I was excited to receive my order and delivery was fast. Along with some other items I ordered digestive biscuits and Sharwoods prawn crackers, and yes the biscuits were packed on top of the prawn crackers. So I now have an expensive bag of prawn crackers dust. Be careful and mindful during packing.

Was disappointed with the delivery service as the product ordered was shipped latent was not informed until I contacted BE. Was very happy when the product finally arrived and will use British Essentials again and hope for a better service.

Always happy to receive Hula hoops. The chocolate buttons are a bit stuck together. But hey, I can deal with that.

Excellent range of products. Everything I received had a good shelf life. Very quick delivery. The jars etc. were very well packaged, but my poppadoms were basically crumbs when they got here. Prices are excessive (expect to pay 5 or 6 times what you would in an actual British supermarket), but living in Italy, I don't have much choice if I want to drink decent tea.

Horrific customer service Placed an order upon checking out and using Apple ID to pay I received a confirmation that my order was twice the cost that was displayed previously I contacted customer service and they refused to cancel the order or provide a refund Their excuse was that it takes them 3 days to reply to emails and that we are not their only customer

First British Essentials order 10 Oct. Order confirmation email received immediately. Second British Essentials order 13 Oct.  Order confirmation email received immediately. And then . . . complete silence.  I emailed on 21 Oct requesting an update about my orders.  No response.  I emailed twice on 25 Oct, once to again request an update about my orders, and once to request that they either update me about my orders or cancel my orders and refund my money.  Five hours later, I received email that both of my orders had been shipped and were on their way.  Order updates at last! British Essentials prices are on the high side. But their shipping is within the realm of reasonable, not prohibitively outrageous like their competitors.  They do, however, have irresistible, very cheap Special Offers. Unfortunately, they don't offer a choice of payment currrencies.    I took off one star because two of the three biscuit items I ordered were way past their use-by dates. And one star because of their haphazard customer care.
